ok, noob question #2 for tonight. haha! ive ALMOST got the rules down here is my next question
in the rules, elevation is kinda complicated. so i thought id ask here.
1)using ladders. does that impede movement any? or does the character just run up and down them like normal terrain?
2) line of site. can a player on the RIM of the elevation shoot down and be shot at from below?
3) if the person on the higher terrain is deep into the ledge, say 2-3 squares away from the edge, can he shoot below? can he be shot at from below?
4) im sure i know this answer, but leap/climb ignores all these elevation questions right? (as far as movement is concerned at least)
thanks!
i hope this is all for tonight. haha as you may have figured, i am playing with a friend who is also a noob. we just started last week and migrated from the arkham starter map to the Hulk fast pack map.

Well, the answer depends on exactly what you're asking. Stairs/ladders don't require any extra movement to go through, but to go up and down, you must go through the squares that are actually connected by the stairs/ladder.

Yes, characters on the rim can shoot down and be shot at, as long as the line of fire doesn't cross anything else that would block it.

No.

Yes, as long as you give the character a move action to use leap/climb, the character doesn't have to worry about elevation for that movement.

Well, if you have any more questions, this is the place to ask. Have fun!

You can just run up and down them.

There's only line of fire. There's no such thing as line of sight.
As for the question, that is fine, as long as line of fire exists, as described in the rulebook. (It's kinda lengthy. Give it a read, and if you have specific questions on how to determine if there is LoF, feel free to follow up.)

No. This is covered in the rulebook.

As long as you have been given a move action to activate L/C, then yes. It doesn't just kick in during any movement.
