@Hatake Olee Well, they don't benefit from being thematic anyway since for non-generic themes you need 4 figures with the keyword for point builds between 400-600 points with the changes in the 2011 rules. True, the Red Lantern object might have helped make-up for that but it's not really a problem. Besides, since DCNu doesn't change much with the Lantern mythos, future, cheaper Red Lanterns (*cough* Dexstar) might show up in future sets.
I second that Dex-starr request. The only other figs with the red lantern key word were only red lanterns for an issue or two. Dex-starr is probably the most recognizable, and popular red lantern (other then atrocitus) and we already have his background story. In the last year if atrocitus isnt by himself, he is with Dex-starr. I would even settle for a duo fig. Come on Neca, wizkids, DC, or whoever makes these decisions. Red lanterns have there own book coming out in September....you guys made Star Fox for cryin out loud.
My issue is, and always has been giving a character with Blades/claws a 3+ damage. The average roll on 1d6 is 3.5. You are making me pay for numbers on the dial in points, and then giving me an ability, that on his first click gives me a 2/3rds chance of scoring the printed damage value or lower, and only a 1/3rd chance of scoring higher. ugh.

NEW HEROCLIX MOTTO: Nothing Solves problems in Heroclix like Superman and a Dumpster.
I love this figure. But he's too many points for what he can do. We need a new Atrocitus that is 150 points or less. Either that, or a new Atrocitus with a similar point value to the old one that is more powerful. And he needs to have a special power or trait that says he can use battle fury and make ranged attacks since he can make constructs in the comic now.
I played him for the first time in a 400pt home game yesterday and he was the obvious board MVP. Sheer destruction, and when he was finally weakened, BOOM! Poison all the people who are so desperately trying to destroy him. Brilliant figure in my opinion.

The same society that tells people to grow up is the same society that is terrified of words.
I used him last night and crushed AVM Hulk. I did have mole man and used him once to move Atrocitus 10 sqaures. But after that it was all Atrocitus. AVM full IG vs Atrocitus with full IG = Atrocitus victory. I was impressed with ATRO. Definately going to use him more. He may not win every game for you, but defineatly win more.
@drewbeezy09: Mole Man can't mind control Atrocitus because characters with battle fury can't be mind controlled. Congratulations on your victory, Cheater.
@RedLanternHulk I didn't realize i had to expalin every move...but ok. Mole Man outwits Atrocitus Battle Fury, Atrocius moves via mind controll, then makes attack. Atrocius is WINNER WINNER.
@ drewbeezy09: Do yourself a favor and get your hands on a rule book and a PaC. The rules for outwit clearly and concisely state: "Give this character a free action to counter a power or a combat ability possessed by a single target OPPOSING character until the beginning of your next turn. Any game effects with a duration specified by the countered power or combat ability are removed. A character using this power must be within 10 squares and line of fire to the target." Your Atrocitus was NOT opposing to your Mole Man, they were both FRIENDLY to each other. And as the PaC clearly states, you can only outwit OPPOSING characters, NOT FRIENDLY CHARACTERS. You're still a CHEATER CHEATER!
@RedLanternHulk , my apologies, I stand corrected, I got mole man's SP embeeded with outwit. I did cheat, EPIC fail. Again my apologies RLH. Plan "B" cosmo for TK.
i could never understand all the hype about this guy every time i used him before i got rid of him he got beaten and every time i fought him i beat him with little effort invulnerabillity as his highest reducer doesn't make him very fearsome.
Win/Loss: 1-1 Atrocitus is a pricey close-combat figure with a solid top-dial. Poor-man's Outwit (his trait) makes him quite dangerous and therefore is targeted early. 202 point cost means he has few other characters to help him out. Very rusty in 2018 since his trait has 0 impact on Invincible. Neat for his time, though.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
Certainly didn't age all that well... this figure would be 150 points these days. The emergence of Invincible didn't do him any favors either. However, BCF now has a minimum (damage value -1) that helps make it a better choice for him, and a 9-click dial is pretty long in the current era. It's also notable that he has a good, steady run of 18's on defense.
Can Ever-Growing Hate allow you to move even if you don't/can't also attack?
