I know this is kind of old but I stopped collecting comics for a while (for shame) and wanted to know what happend in the end. Did deadpool come back or was he alex after all.

Ok, it turned out that Deapool, Swan, and Swan's little buddy his name started with a K. Anyways there personality traits were swaped around between there bodies. But the K guy died before it was complete. Alex inhabits the K guys body and is a composite of personality traits and powers from the Three. Deadpool's healing factor got split 3 ways with himself, Swan and Alex, but most everything else went into the other 2 and he is now an imbecile, Alex's like for his amusement park the Alpine came from Swans growing up in the Alps his taste in food and clothes came from him as well. Swan atempts to put things right and the three swap traits but swan double crosses them and takes things that he shouldn't have and he gets his Telepathy back and Telekinesis. Deapool and Alex and Taskmaster and Crazy Innez and whats her name take Swan down Alex gets rid of K's memory of his death and the X scars are transfered to Swan who they get stuffed. at the end we are left with Alex and Deadpool being very close to the same person, they act very similar but not identical. Oh and they steal the Fantasticar and laugh at Thing as he shakes his fist from the Top of the FF building.

Nad to make sure Swan dosen't regenerate back they get him stuffed and put a few bullets into him every once in a while.

They also end up breaking up afterwards. Deadpool, reunited with his little yellow thought boxes, (“Oh, how I missed you, little yellow boxes! What fun we shall have together!”) left to shack up with Cable, while Alex, Inez, Taskmaster, and Sandi went to form a new mercenary operation.
