I am looking at makeing a stricktly modern age Avengers team. This what I came up will please give me input on my selections.

Iron Man GG-101
Namor GG-009
Nova Prime GG-001
Thing GG-038
Thor AM-201

I know its odd seeing an avengers team without...Captain America..

I personally like the Avengers to have CA Steve Rogers, CA Black Widow, AM Hawkeye and AM Nick Fury (Team Pack).


It's only 329 points, but consider that Steve gives everyone adjacent to him the shield TA, Fury gives everyone the Avengers Initiative TA, and Black Widow has Stealth and a 2nd click Penetrating, and Hawkeye is just a good ranged piece. It's a really solid Ranged Team.

I'm not a fan of Hercules, and personally I'd choose the Nova from the Annihilators FF pack. Personal preference though.

What's your strategy?

If I had any of the other pieces you suggested I would more then likely use them. I would love to throw a hawkeye in there. I was going for a well rounded team that could play both melee and range. Most of the thought process was playing Thor next Thing who had been taxied there by Namor. I would just like to see Thing do some damage with that nifty special power.

Steve Rogers from IH has the ability to give those with the shield team ability the Avengers ability and those with the Avengers team ability, the shield team ability.

Nick Fury from CA isn't exactly an avengers piece, but when he is given a power action, you can remove a token from a friendly character with the shield keyword.

Hulk from IH can do up to 5 damage on his 4th and 5th dial and he has indomitable and quake.

Captain America A.K.A Bucky from CA is also nice and only 89 points. He has perplex and running shot. Fun to use.

I enjoy your team though, looks like it would be fun to play.

Myself, I have to build a 600 point Avengers team with very specific details, I think i'm gonna run

IH - Hulk- 165pts
HoT - War Machine - 137pts
IH - Cho - 59pts
CA - Captain America - 89pts
AVM - The Sharpshooting Avenger - 75pts
AVM - The Covert Avenger - 75pts
