I just read the current Wizard magazine and it said that Jose Quesada issued an official apology to Waid/Wierngo (sp).

Supposedly the two are now going to stay on the book.

Anybody have further details? What made Quesada turn around? A new publisher?

They Fired Jemas(jemis? sp?), Jemas was going to fire Waid and put an Epic writer on the book.
The guy who owns the largest stock in Marvel told ol' Bill that he couldn't give interviews, or come near the editorial meetings, Bill's office was empty a week later.
Apparently, (like I've mentioned here and there) Jemas wanted to replace all marvels top(and slightly expensive) talent, with new writers who would work for pennies, and wrote what they told him. Bill thought comics weren't worth paying for as marvels real bottom line was in movies and liscensing.

Basically, when word got to some fans, some fans went crazy, Jemas was fired(or quit, depending on who's story you go by)
and all returned to normal at marvel. Except all the writers who signed exclusive with DC for the next little while, more than a few, my fave Grant Morrison included who jumped ship because ol' Bill was cheesing them off.

At least..I think that's right....Maybe that was just a rerun of M*A*S*H* I fell asleep to last night bleeding over, in which case replace Jemas with Frank, and Morrison with Hawkeye..or something

Hmm... not too clear, was I? Jemas getting "demoted" is the best thing I've heard in a long, long, long time! The man made a mess, time to get someone who respects continuity. Dunno if that's what we're getting, but any change is good right now.

Its called DC is signing all the big talent to their comic line. Quesada finally got the balls to owe up to his mistake taking kicking him off the FF comic public. One thing is to always deal with problems in house...not in public. He should know that being an artist first...not a editor. Cause in the end, if Quesada messes up as an editor, he can always fall back on being an artist.

If I remember...the Wizard mag said Quesada made a public apology. I wonder if there's a transcript?

I remember reading his 'explanation' at Waid's departure. Interesting stuff.

I'm glad they decided to keep Waid on there. He really made the FF interesting again.

Yea, I like Waid's FF a whole lot. I'm real happy to see him stay on for awhile.
