3)if i move adjacent,(and have sharpshooter) is line of sight restored
4) I was told that even being adjacent, that the piece was effectively invisible to ranged attacks, doesnt seem logical that i be adjacent and unable to see him ??

1.) Yes...providing they have the Stealth power, or something that says they can use stealth
2.) No, you cannot draw line of fire to them
3.) No, it is not
4.) It is not logical, but not all things in games are logical.

Being adjacent does not grant line of fire. You can make close combat attacks based on adjacency, but ranged attacks (as well as outwit, perplex, etc.) require line of sight (or line of fire, whichever is the correct rulebook term).

Line of fire is the correct rulebook term. If you ask a question about line of sight in the rules forum chances are your question will either be ignored alltogether or the person answering it will focus PURELY on the fact that you used the wrong term.

I sincerely doubt that. If that was true, then a lot of posts in this forum would go unanswered
@OP - Line of Fire and Adjacency are two completely different concepts in this game and don't really have anything to do with each other. Just because two characters have one, doesn't mean they will have the other. The sooner you wrap your head around that, the sooner a lot of these rules will make more sense.
