So, an object does not replace the attackers damage value, it replaces the damage delt.

Heretic, when throwing an object, you do not use the characters damage value in any way, so there is nothing to divide in that way.

So, you can target more than 1 character (if you have more than 1 bolt on the base), but you must deal the full damage to one of the targets. And Enhancement does deal 1 extra damage to the characters hit by the attack.

Truthfully, I forsee a FAQ on this in the future. But that is just a guess....

Yeah i know that bloodsword. i am not using my damage but the damage of the object. and it says that the heavy object does 3 damage when it hits. and I am making one ranged attack but effecting 2 diffrent people. I should be able to do 3 damage to both.

Balor, as it has been pointed out, you can only split your figure's damage up between the various targets. It does not say you can split the object's damage up between the multiple targets. If it was their intent, then it would have said so.

It doesn't, so you can't.

So, who's up for a FAQ entry?

They will probably say something like since you are giving the character a ranged combat action to simply throw the object that the rules for targetting multiple figures does not apply (that it's a special case for ranged combat action and has its own rules) and since it only refers to the "target" (singular only) in the section discussing throwing an object you can only target a single character when performing this action.

But it's on my list of things I'm hoping the next FAQ clarifies. Has any judge taken it to the Judges forum for DrGandalf to look into (or answer on)?
