So my IG 8 event is coming up next weekend and I wanted to get some thoughts on a couple teams I've come up with.

The event as in the title is 500 points, all from CW, GG and IH, no ATAs, no Fast Forces, no Gauntlet and no objects outside of the 3 sets. Oh, and it's a single elimination, NCAA style bracket.

I know there are people at my venue that have Sentry/Void, Sentroid, Avengers Prime and Doom/Kang...Any of the Ventry combos/triads is possibly the biggest threat I've seen so far to any of these teams. As always, suggestions and comments are welcome.

man, i wish my venue was doing this. we cant use any figure bigger than 250 points, so my avengers prime is out. But one of the dominating features i've seen lately is the morgan le fay + Sentroid combo, so if you can do that, then i'd give it a shot. throw a donald blake on him, or a tony stark for the outwit and you'd be a force to reckon with. Also, as I have been told by others, theres a general lack of hindering terrain on the map (2 spots on the throne and thats it) if you are running the map you're suppose to. so sharon carter's trait is kinda useless

Problem with the team you mentioned is I don't have the ventry duo, just the two single figures, so that's not really an option.

Also, if you look again at the teams, I've included the tank turrets and even the iron man briefcase to make more hard to destroy/immobile hindering, and if I wanted to make more you can always destroy the blocking terrain up on the platform of the Shrine map to make debris squares that are hindering as well.

So even if I don't win map and get the platform with hindering, I can make a grouping of it down below, have Sharon adjacent and bam, now they're in stealth and the opposing team has to come down to deal with me.

So I was talking to a friend today about my teams, and he suggested this one(he also corrected my thought about the two turrets, so I modified the objects):

Sentry is the tentpole, Carter's there to give stealth to the Avengers in the team, Rick's there for Perplex and to AE into either Genis or Marvel.

I know Xavin can TK and Perplex and has Stealth and whatnot, but aside from that, I would think that instead of him, you'd want Hank Pym for the Outwit/Perplex, or a pair of AIM Agents or an Agent and a Renegade. Thoughts?

He told me since he's already won a Thanos, its a large possibility that he'll let me use Ventry for the event. If that's the case, then I guess I'd start with Ventry, then swap out to Void and then Sentry, then back to Ventry?
