here is a question about the Crossgen/mystics team ability

I was wondering that if you attack a character and that character masterminds the damage off to a mystic or crossgen who would take the damage.... The attacker or the one diverting the damage???? Thanks

CrossGen - When this character takes damage from an attack, it deals 1 damage to the attacker. This damage may not be evaded or reduced.

When a character with Mastermind deals damage to a friendly adjacent figure, that damage is not considered an attack, and powers and team abilities that require a character be hit or dealt damage “by an attack” or “from an attack” do not function against damage dealt through Mastermind.

PAC, Mystics/Crossgen
When this character takes damage from an attack, it deals 1 damage to the attacker. This damage may not be evaded or reduced.

Having damage Masterminded onto a Mystic or CrossGen figure will not activate the retaliation.
