Barring some weird series of circumstances I won't make it this year due to family health issues: I think I've only missed once before in the past 10 years.
I can verify that this is a great convention for gaming, cosplay, partying, pop culture stuff or just people watching*. The convention staff and local businesses are all terrific, food opportunities range from McDonalds to fine dining within a block or two and the crew running the Clix events have consistently put together a great weekend. And it's a short train ride to a mega-mall (Lenox) or a short taxi ride to a very nice area of shops and restaurants (Atlantic Station) if conventional shopping is your pleasure (or the pleasure of your significant other). World of Coke and the Georgia Aquarium are within walking distance, too. This is a great way to spend Labor Day weekend!
*My wife has no interest in gaming or most of the pop culture stuff, but she has a great time: takes the camera and comes home with a couple hundred pics every year.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

I'll be playing in my first tournaments in a couple years at DragonCon. I'm mega pumped to play. Planning on some booster drafts and the "Court of Owls" tournament, though I will admit, I'm quite rusty and will probably get crushed in the Court of Owls scenario.
Looking forward to it though! Now to reread the rule changes and sneaky tactics.
Prize or no prize. If you're not having fun, whats the point?
Just to clarify, SILVER AGE: any fig is an option to play, doesn't matter which set it came from. I could even break out Hypertime figs, should that old school urge take over my better judgement?
