I was just thinking: one could take the top hat from Shade and put it on a Thug figure, and place it on a Paramedic dial for a pretty good mod of Nite-Lite!
I played a pretty cool JSA team recently, as me and my buddy tried out our new figs after splitting a legacy case
V Power Girl + Armor Piercing 130
V Mr. Terrific 80
V Hourman 100
V Stargirl 63
E Black Adam + fortitude 147
SR Jennie Lynn Hayden 74
LE Kendra Sanders 43
E Impulse 59
Total 696
The team did very well as a whole, though my opponent played Ares and I had a rough time hitting his defense. I ended up losing due to Powergirl and Hourman just being incapable of hitting Ares. Mr Terrific paid out in spades, however, using incap to chip away at the god of war.
Wow. Putting JSA teams together is a little hard, when the teams are for comic accuracy. The high cost of the members, and the sheer number of members, make it difficult. Anyway, here is my first attempt at a JSA team. It's based off of JSA #1 (of the current book), and it only includes characetrs that are represented in clix form. You can include KC GL if you want to, or use a Hal base with the KC Alan figure. I chose not to, because I have a 500 point tourney coming up, and I want to run a JSA team. The tourney is using the "Who's Got the Power Cosmic," and Fortitude is not allowed. ScenarioI call it:
Goyer's 500 pt JSA Team:
Flash U w/ Armor Piercing-111 pts
Star-Spangled Kid E w/Stunning Blow- 59 pts
Hourman (Tyler Android) E w/ Haymaker- 95 pts
Wonder Woman U (LE)-106 pts
Hawkgirl E-39 pts
Starman E-51 pts
Black Canary E- 36 pts
Total-497 pts
Enjoy!
1/6th of the Brothers Prob. '19-'20 Season: 15-13(8 events) 2 wins, 2nd XDPS PR 9-7, 7th SOC
Green Lantern E (UL w/ KC GL Sculpt) w/ Trick Shot & Fortitude-170 pts
Wonder Woman U-106 pts
Hourman V w/ Fortitude & Haymaker- 135 pts
Dr. Fate E-113 pts
Flash U w/ Armor Piercing-111 pts
Mr. Terrific V-80 pts
Starman V w/ Trick Shot-83 pts
Carter Hall LE-54 pts
Hawkgirl E-39 pts
Ma Hunkle-9 pts
Total= 900 pts
I added the E Hal base with the KC GL sculpt to this one...just because, this team is put together as a tribute to the original JSA. I suppose, a person could add Puck, in place of Atom.
Enjoy!

U Wonder Woman - 106
R Jade - 64
R Hourman - 65
R Obsidian - 46
Vet Hawkman - 48
R Gotham Policeman

500 points
I only have six packs of Legacy (I got 3 Uniques!).
The Cop is there because I had 11 points left over.

I just realized what I can do with my LE Jane Foster.
So I'm trying to build a JSA team and I'm stuck. I really haven't played much since Crisis and missed the opportunity to use most of the JSA pieces from that time. Looking at the 2 Alan Scott figures (DC75th & DC10th) and the 2 Jay Garrick figures (B&tB & DC10th), in a 1000 point game, which could be the best way to go for each?

The most competitive pieces are all the newest ones, the Dr.Fate Con LE is by far the most useful. I have been using the pieces from 75th a lot lately. The 75th Green Lantern is very good! Although, my primary 300point (modern age) team is:
Con.LE Dr.Fate.
75th batman
75th superman
Not only do they work wonders together, but they have plenty of swag
but I suggest, keep it modern. the best (most fun) pieces are there!

I would probably take the DC10th for both of them.
Save 52 (!!!) points for Alan...you lose Impervious, Penetrating Blast and stealth busting but you get an 18d < 100 points, still have solid damage and still ~ stealth busting via TK'ing a friend to the stealther.
Jay is a little tougher, you save 34 points for Jay and you have another 18d < 100 points, great HSS range but lose out on Leadership and Probability Control which might be tough depending on how the rest of your team is configured and what you expect to face.
Generally though I'd be saving the points and getting more figures on the team (in this case 2 guys of 18D < 100 points each).
Thanks! I'm actually revamping a team that I played in a tournament around the time that Crisis came out. It won't exactly be accurate to the comic I based it off of, but could be even better.
