Hi, I am going to be playing a private game between myself and two other Heroclix addicts. The format is 3,000 points per team, all figures must have cards. Gauntlet is allowed, as are colossals. Infinity Gems attached to Elders of the Universe are allowed in addition to a complete Gauntlet.

I already have made up two team possibilities...but, as I am not the best Clix player out there, I am wondering if there are things I have neglected to consider in terms of my team's build...?

Here is the basis of what I have in my collection:

Marvel 10th Anniversary = Everything except Chase Wolverine

DC 10th Anniversary = Everything except Chase Batman and Chase Wonder Woman (and I have two of each Brainiac and two Nightwings).

Chaos War = All except Morgan Le Fay, Avengers Prime, Sentry/Void, Hawkeye/Mockingbird, Vision/Scarlet Witch, Ant-Man/Wasp, Thor/Hercules and the Future Foundation LEs (no Tank Turret or Iron Man Briefcase).

Galactic Guardians = All except SR Mr. Fantastic, LE Hulk, LE Iron Man, LE Spiderman and Giganto.

Infinity Gauntlet = Everything except The In-Betweener.

Incredible Hulk = I have most of this set, none of the Chases or LEs.

Superman = Darkseid, three Robot Supermen, Cyborg Superman, All-Star Bizarro, Bizarro-Girl, 300 point Superman, Supergirl, Superboy, Steel, Lois Lane Superwoman, Lucy Lane Superwoman (?), Live Wire, Silver Banshee, Magog (both of them), Lex Luthor prison inmate, Composite Superman/Batman, Project Superman, Lobo, Non, Ursa, Wildfire.

War of Light Fast Forces

If anyone has any ideas, I am open to re-configuring my team...the game is Saturday Sept. 29th. I just have this nagging feeling that I am forgetting something...

I would give the SHIELD guys and Agent Coulson power actions to enhance damage on colossals when possible. And I wouldn't be afraid to push the commandos with reckless abandon.

Ziran can take away up to 6 damage right off the bat.
Thanos can do 6 penetrating damage * 2 if he attacks a character above 250.
Galactus can do 6 penetrating damage * 2. He has a more accurate attack so lead with him.
Ziran can either do 4 damage * 2 or can throw down some damaging incap if you just wanna screw with people.
Add the SHIELD power actions to any one of these attacks along with a perplex to damage, and you're adding 8 total damage to one of the attacks. (the -1 is offset if you use 4 boosts). If you gave it to Galactus, for example, he'd be doing 20 penetrating damage in one turn.
Dormammu has 4 penetrating damage to work with.

You've got 3 perplexes, from Iron Man, Coulson and Scarlet Witch. One of them would be used as part of the above for damage. If you used all 3 for damage, you've got an opening damage potential of 57, most of which is penetrating.

You've also got 4 prob controls, from Dormammu, S. Witch, Enchantress, and Thanos.

You've got 1 Outwit, from Thanos.

I put the Gauntlet on Thanos because of his great defensive ability.

The Iron Man I chose as the Herald/Minion ignores a character with the Gauntlet. He's got a short dial but good stats. With a +2 to all of them, of course they'll be great. Don't forget to turn the Herald dial to something that'll be useful. It has lots of great powers.

Don't forget Dormammu gives you immunity from Mystics and has Prob Control as a trait. Good stuff.

I think it'd certainly be intimidating to sit across from 4 fearsome colossals with some of the best support in the game. What do you think?

I'm with this guy. I'll also say, however, that the map is going to be, erm, crowded. See if you can't put a few maps together to make the game more interesting...

All great info and advice, thank you . I somehow did not know that Dormammu negates Mystics damage to members of his team...

I don't have an Elsa Bloodstone...I don't really know much about the character, so I haven't tracked one down. Everyone seems to have a high opinion of her though...from what I grasp, she does more damage to higher point characters?

My opponent has played his team (no idea what it is) 3-4 times and gone undefeated, so I am thinking of combining some of these ideas with my own. I'm not the best player out there, but I do really enjoy the game. If I lose, I am okay with that...as long as I did my best to win .

If you're going to win go with the above. However, if I were playing this game I would go with IG Thanos at full 3000 pts Honestly, how many chances will you get to play this.

Elsa does penetrating damage to expensive models. BCF/flurry and cheap enough to be galactacus herald with a full gauntlet. She can tear through models in a heartbeat if allowed to go off on one.

She is like 75cents too.
