Over the past decade my love of the Legion of Super-Heroes has just kept growing. Especially now since both LSH titles have been far superior to the JL titles in the New52.
While I have sporadic early issues such as The Great Darkness Saga, my collection proper begins with the Abnett/Lanning run to the current.
My main question is when did Paul Levitz first start? I thought he came on board with#284, but that appears not to be the case. Do I go as far back as #259 when the title name switches to just The LSH from Superboy and The LSH?
He wrote stories under the previous title name, "Superboy and the Legion of super-Heroes," as of issue #225, but he was not the permanent writer until Great Darkness Saga. The likes of Roy Thomas, Len Wein, and Gerry Conway did fill-in issues/arcs in the meantime. Levitz wrote 3 out of every 4 stories in-between issues 225 and 258.

Awesome! Thanks! I work at a comic shop one day a week, and due to the recession the last few years, many fans turned in their complete runs of LSH from #259 onward. Since I've completed most of the rest of my comics collection to where I want it to be, I figured to start back collecting Legion in earnest.
