alright, so I dont really have too much to work with, as I only got into heroclix as of the start of Chaos Wars, but I think I managed to work out a decent team for my venues supremacy league (which I am currently within challenging range of our leader)

This is the team I am rolling, all thunderbolts keyworded and I bought all three of them the thunderbolts ATA

CW039 Hawkeye - 98

wildcard for synister syndicate
thunderbots for avengers initiative TA

M10A018 green goblin - 117
+8 - thunderbolts ata
thunderbots for ultimates TA

CW026 ant-man - 42
+8 - thunderbolts ata
thunderbots for police TA

for a grand total of 282

the idea is for hawkeye to be directly behing ant-man, getting his +1 to range and +1 to damage from ant-man's shield abilities activation and both of them are to be in stealth. I decided on avengers initiative for hawk so that he could see through hindering and not lose that 1 to his attack for shooting through it, and i also chose police for ant-man so he had another 1 for his shots. Basically I will never miss a shot EVER because he'll be getting +1 to attack, his enemies will be getting -1 to their defense, and he wont receive penalties for shooting through hindering, all the while out of range since he'll be stealthed. Now green goblin is much more fun in the game, he'll be running shot + energy explosioning all over the place, and i'll keep him close to hawkeye so he can benefit from hawkeyes high attack values from sinister syndicate, and ultimates so he never has to worry about stealth characters and can freely rain pumpkins down upon them.

So what do you think? considering that i'll also get the +3 bonus to map choice rolls and some theme team prob controls, do you think i'll have a decent chance at this beast or what?

When you use thunderbolts ATA your team can only pick 1 TA to use, not 1 for each character.

oh, i see... well then, switch em all to Ultimates, and i'll just deal with no hindering :D. HOW ABOUT NOW! is it a good team?

What happens when your opponent puts the Gauntlet on Black Bolt then TKs Black Bolt out to you and Double Power action and Pulse Waves your entire team for four damage and then when Black Bolt is cleared he can do it again?

meh, I cant really say. like it says, im fairly new to this whole game and have only actually seen tk'ing happen once in a game I played in, so I haven't thought about it.

although, a full gauntlet black bolt will only leave enough space on his team for a low point TK'er and since that puts scarlet witch out of reach (unless he doesnt want willpower from an incomplete gauntlet, and I dont know enough to figure out an alternative to scarlet witch thats low enough points.

With minimal damage reducers a close combat team is going to hurt you if they can close the distance. Someone like Worldbreaker will eat you alive.

That said it's not a bad setup, ant man seems like a waste though. You clould add Bruce Banner from the hulk set in there to boost goblin's pumpkin bombs and have him AE into Mulk as a tie up piece.

maaaaaaaan, i would do that in a heartbeat if I had him. Maybe i'll look around my venue for a trade so I can get my hands on Bruce before the game. Also, since hes not thunderbolts, that'll leave me without hte roll and PC, but can I still get thunderbolts ata for the two that are? or do you have to have an entire team of thunderbolts to use it?

or maybe i'll throw madame masque on the team in place of ant man and outwit/ perplex/ perplex/ enhancement switch her the whole game

You can have any number of characters use the ATA as long as they have the keyword. Of course if they have the keyword and you decide use the ATA you HAVE to assign the ATA to them. So you could still have Thunderbolts ATA on Gobbie and Hawkeye.
