I think in golden age tourneys it would be really fun to pair this guy up with a bunch of LOTR bystanders with high AVs and just send supercharged tokens out one after another and cause a slow painful death for the enemy.
I suppose the dial makse sense for Hugo, but I don't think I would use this figure. Being able to shut down outwit and perplex is nice, but you have to be within 4 squares and I see him getting smoked quickly. I think I would rather spend the 89 points on another figure.
For some reason the first thing that came to mind his how he's a lovely lil mad scientist who'd prolly work out just great "building a doomsday weapon" next to red skull and mutating some other adjacent pleeby scientists as well.
I'm really looking forward to fielding Hugo. Lots and lots of generics are going to be made scary thanks to this guy. He's a little pricy, but I think the fun factor will keep him being played.
"This will be my legacy, a monument to your failure."
"Have you ever considered that all this is your fault?"
"Your presence here creates these animals."
Very nice finesse piece. He can cause limited board control trouble with his trait and he's great at getting some characters on the click you want them to be on. His team ability, combat reflexes, mind control, outwit, and perplex give him some offensive capabilities in case he gets cornered, but he's meant to be a bit of a mastermind.
I like it. I kinda wish he was a bit stronger with a click or 2 more. He's around Batman's level of strength and stamina if I'm not mistaken though. Granted his greatest asset is the psychoanalytic tricks he uses, then again, Batman's greatest talent is his mind.
Glad he finally got made, too. He's a hard character to dial, but worth it.
Eh . . .
I have no sekrets, I just am.

I just don't see him as being much of a threat. He won't tend to be so up close in the action unless someone is flying him around with him. then again, that mind control could be useful and an annoying piece to get out of the way at first.
While i like both his special power and his trait, but the drawbacks on both of them kinda defeat the purpose. I could see using the serum power for charge, but why wouldn't i just use a TKer and not deal the damage. THe trait is cool, but the range for both the abilities is twice the range of the trait.
I remember geeking out when I saw this dial. The special power and trait make him great. The Outwit, etc. is just gravy. So much potential for him but his defense and short dial makes him to easy to kill.
He's sort of the Egghead of the team. He provides decent enough support and utility, but isn't really your A-list Bat Villain. At least in terms of popularity. Still, he's expensive for what he does. There isn't a lot going for this guy other than his trait, which is also pretty limited. I'd hate to see the guy stuck with him in sealed.
