Hello all,
Just curious. Both Morbius and Dracula and the Vampires have powers that state they can use Steal Energy and heal past their starting clicks. BUT These powers do not state they can not heal past that via any other means.
My question is, can these characters heal with Support past their beginning click or no?
"Power: Vampric Hunger: Morbius begins the game on click #3. Morbius can use Steal Energy and may use it to heal past his starting line, upto click #1."
Thanks,
Mad
Look up too me, see a friend.
Look down on me, see an enemy.
Look me square in the eye, see a God!
The core rules state that a character can't be healed past it's starting line. Traits like Dracula's provide an exception for Steal Energy, but not anything else. So that's the only way to heal past the starting line.

The rulebook states:
A character can’t heal beyond its starting line.
The Vampiric Hunger power also specifies that only the Steal Energy it grants may be used to heal them beyond their starting line in this way.
Vampric Hunger: Morbius begins the game on click #3. Morbius can use Steal Energy and may use it to heal past his starting line, upto click #1.
I'm pretty sure the answer to the question I'm about to ask is "no". . .
Once a character crosses the "starting line" via SE, can that player THEN use support to heal even further up (like up to click 1)? I'm assuming not, but its already past the starting line, so it seems possible to me...
Also, once a character has passed the starting line, but drops back below it, can they heal up to click one at any point?
Example: Dracula uses SE to get past his starting line. He gets attacked and takes two damage--dropping him below that starting line again. Can you then support him back past that starting line?
Or is the starting line permanently there?
I'm assuming its always there and that the only way to move above that spot is with SE even if you have already done it once previously.

I'm certain that for Dracula, he can only go from click 4 to click 3 using steal energy, as that's what's specified in his trait, regardless of how many times he may have crossed it in the past. The question I have, is once I'm past the starting line, can I use support to move from click 3 to click 2 or 1, as I wouldn't be crossing a starting line to do so?
Basically, the question here comes down to: When the trait uses the phrase "heal beyond the starting line" does it mean "Click Dracula's dial from Click 4 to Click 3." or does it mean "Heal when the current click number is 3, 2 or 1 (Clicks which are beyond the starting line.)"

Reason: beyond, not past.
Could Dracula or his vampires effectively KO themselves from healing? I always thought that rule in the rulebook about healing past the starting line, was so dinks couldn't cry "judge!" after a successful regeneration roll. But it appears now that once you see a KO click after healing from the top of the dial, you overdose on plasma/blood? Am I understanding this right?
Pg. 4 Heroclix Rulebook: If a character’s dial is turned and [KO] symbols appear, the character is defeated and immediately removed from the game.

Their power only gives them the ability to heal up to click #1. Once they are there, their steal energy would no longer heal them at all. Even if it were possible to KO by healing too much, it's not an issue for them.
I realize that powers are typically optional anyways. Some people thrive playing this game ONLY with "comic accuracy". I was thinking it would be funny to tell somebody "Now be comic accurate and heal your Vampire..."
It may help some players chill the chuck out.
