I have an event today at my venue it's 1000 points with 5 figures max.
This max figure limit always throws a monkey wrench in my team building because I am very Unique theme team base, and virtually all of my teams are built around 1 unique keyword.
So when these limits pop up I usually just use my large figures I can't make room for. So I picked Brainiac from Anniversary and here is my team.

Brainiac- DC anniv. :350 points
Barry Allen- 75th: 119 points (with Utility belt: smoke pellets, batarangs, sonic transmitter)
Ironman- M anniv: 225 points
Prof. X- GSX : 123
Superman 001- SM: 150

Total 977

and then I put the utility belt on Barry Allen for 10 points so he can have Indomitable.
Does this seem like a pretty reliable team? Right off the bat I have 2 outwits and 2 perplexs on their opening dials.

Yeah, certainly not bad. Without any Enhancement though you won't get a lot of use out of PX. I would almost say he is your best bet with the UB. After that I might replace Barry for something with a little more oomph. But that's me.

Also, this is NOT a Theme Team unless there's a house rule making it so. At 1000pts you would need 12 figures sharing a Generic Keyword, and 8 sharing a Non-Generic Keyword. So it looks like Theme isn't possible in that event.
