Resources and Special Objects

I know that when you use the IG, you cannot use any special objects. However, it does not state anywhere in the most current players guide that you can't use the Utility Belt with a special object. I just wanted to make sure I was not wrong in thinking this.

A resource included in your force can’t be used by an opposing player, even if an assigned character becomes friendly to an opponent’s force during the game.

From page 20 of the 2012 Rulebook: "When you include a resource on your force, you may not include any special objects on your force."
