I have a 1000 pt game coming up and i came up with a 5 man team that offers mobility and stall for days, it has great use of perplex and is solid through out the match, but for 1000 points I'm afraid I'm gonna face teams with like 20 figures on them and I'll get overwhelmed.
The figures are:
Dc10a #012 Braniac 350pt x2, He provides the early game presence with his global perplex and I keep them at the back boosting my other figures in the early game, then in late game the stop clicks are an enormous task to deal with and they become some heavy beaters
FF:JL #003 Batman 100pt He is my early game hassle with his special power incap and the global perplex from Braniac he ties up the enemy team fairly well and his trait allows him to remain hidden from them, he carries outwit and indom so he can continually keep the opposing force tied up and held up, he also has decent damage so i can take out the weaker figures with him while keeping the stronger ones from even attacking him.
FF:JL #005 Flash 125pt This guy is my personal favorite, his speed allows him to jet around the battlefield with ease picking off weaker pieces and staying out of range, his perplex also allows for great synergy with the Braniac perplexes and Batman allowing for some big numbers for attacks, his trait also goes hand in hand with batman's they are both really hard to hit, and they are pretty annoying early game as my initial attackers, the emissaries for what is to come, they're job is to go in cripple the enemy by killing healers and supports maybe get some shots in on the big guys and then get out or die.
GG #022 Xavin 75pt He has tk and perplex and it pretty useful first turn allowing me to get my batman or flash into position to lead the way, and after that he still has some uses as a bodyguard for the Braniacs and as a late game attacker, and when it comes to it he can move the Braniacs into position with tk, his fighting potential is why I have picked him over scarlet witch, but I am still a little iffy on that matter.
So if anyone could give me suggestions or tell me if this is an alright team for a 1000pt match (my first) I would very much appreciate it, and some reasoning for running scarlet witch instead of Xavin would also be of help, maybe someone can tell me something I may have missed strategy-wise, and some possible counter play to this would also be of use, thank you for reading and have a great day.:D
That is a tiny team for 1k. I'd honestly drop the xavin and one brainiac. That opens up 425pts. I recommend jl52 105 flash. Dc10 160 brainiac. If ya want tk perplex use up 100pts for SWitch and enchantress. There are plenty of solid choices, but there is no need for a 2nd brainiac.

I think it's probably a solid team that will surprise some people. I would say the biggest things to worry about are... well, a lot, but, I don't know how likely they are. I mean...
1) Something like several GCPD Cruisers can get the Brainiacs off of ISYI pretty quick. Especially when they get map choice and pick like the Hawkworld or Muselpheim map where 2 cruisers can take you off of it almost immediately.
2) Mystics. This could hurt you as those Brainiacs are only really worth their point cost if they get a lot of use out of those ISYI clicks.
3) There are figures now like TabApp Superman and Worldbreaker that deal 1 Penetrating After Actions resolve. So they can essentially take two clicks off you with one attack. Also a lot of figures with the UB and Flurry can get off Multiple attacks so you could find your Brainiacs going down much quicker than you expected.
4) Colossals. Something like Retail Dr. Manhattan just has too much life and Raw Stats and can take both Brainiacs down in about 3-4 turns.
Honestly, if I wanted to beat this team, I would probably do something like this...
Chase Thanos 350
2x Arkham Guard 90
4x Scarlet Witch 150
Elsa Bloodstone x2 146
Nightmare 110
Dark Phoenix 100
=996
On my second turn I'll bring both Brainiacs over and need like a 3 to Capture them. Then I set up two Barriers to stop you from getting to them and maybe rescuing them. Turn 3 I release them, which KO's them and I'm up 800 to 0. At that point you have to come to me, or Chase Thanos brings your guys 2 at a time to their destruction.
Will you face any of this? I have no clue.
aqhoffman- greatest post possibly ever
jtallday- Jon I wouldn't challenge you if I wasn't sure you are wrong cuz I don't have that kind of energy.

I probably will face a chanos team, and no colossal figures are gonna be used, but yea the cruisers are out there, and you have pointed out a few good flaws I overlooked, I will probably sub out one of the braniacs and the xavin and add a few more pieces to fight with, what would you suggest? and I tested against a Mystic team and it did give me some trouble, because it overwhelmed me and the mystic ta was also a pain, and i have a worldbreaker is he any useful on this team?

I has no enchantressX__X, but thank you for the feedback I will probably sub out the braniac and xavin for something, and I like running the other Flash, but how does GL from the dc10 sound?
I actually just acquired the dc10 93pt lantern (already had the 145pt one) and I gotta say I like them both. I love the bp aspect and some figs like ironman and green lantern that have a low cost fig that bp's into a beast. So I'd say yes on both. The dc 10 94pt blue beetle is a solid secondary attacker with mystics
