INSPIRING COMMAND
Cost: 15
Prerequisite: Leadership or Mastermind
Choose a character. Characters with the same team symbol as the
character and a lower point value than the character are not dealt
pushing damage when a second token is placed upon them if they
are adjacent to the character at the beginning of an action.
Does that mean that characters have to possess the same team symbol? Do ATAs count as "team symbols"? If a character is using Thunderbolts and they've been given a team ability that the Inspiring Command user has, does this feat work?
Correct, WIT. Team symbols is all that's required, even if the figure has its team ability countered. Of course, Say Crisis Nightwing were using Inspiring Command on his opening click- his SP grants him the Outsiders and Teen Titans Team Symbols (specifically) in addition to their abilities. He could use this for all 3 teams, though once he loses the SP, or it gets outwitted, gone like the wind.
Saying team symbol is exceedingly specific- team Symbol.
I miss? PC it. You hit? PC it. I hit? I can do better, PC anyways. You miss? I DIDN'T SEE SNAKE EYES, PC IT!
Team Symbols are the cute little pictures that are on top of the dial. Team Ability is the actual game effect.
Inspiring Command asks to check for the Team Symbol so if the cute little picture is missing then the effect can't be used.
The only exception is if a trait or power says that a character POSSESSES the team SYMBOL like Crisis Nightwing:
ATA's never have cute little symbols so they will never fulfill the requirement to be used with Inspiring Command.
of course, if they already Have the symbols and qualify, then giving everyone ATA's only enhances performance. But you're absolutely right, they'll never let you qualify (at least none made to date will)

I forgot about that little switch-a-roo, demoting the Morlocks and Serpent Society TA's to mere ATA's...
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
