My venue is doing a 400 pt sealed for NML month 6th. I'm assuming we will be able to choose between teen titans and ASM. Just wondering what everyone thinks would be better. I haven't played with any titans, but looking at the dials it seems like ASM is much better in a sealed although any super boy primes would probably go 3-0 rather easily. However, the chances of a SBP getting pulled are remote. We will probably have less than 12 people there.
Not that it's a sure thing but I have personally seen 5 bricks and 10 separate boosters be opened with no SBP. Realistically speaking to plan to face him is a huge shot in the dark. I would just play your percentages and follow your gut. Chances are you will face normal sealed teams and you will want to be on top of your game. So play want you know best and feel comfortable with.
Just played in my first TT sealed, and ive played in a slew of ASM sealed, and it looks like TT pieces might be better for sealed in general since there were lots of nasty commons and uncommons in TT... Lots of move and attack in general. Dr light was nasty overall and beat me twice, jinx played great for 39pts prob+barrier, empress mind control with a deep dial for 72 beat me up, leash was played well with tk+poison+capture, the 77 point beast boy with charge superstrength exploit and prob on a trait and then gets a 4xattack on click 2, deathstroke rare running shot psyblast, the list goes on.. There were some nasty teams. Unfortunately for us though someone did pull superboy prime!
I haven't pulled a chase yet, well because I really haven't bought any, but I've seen a few chases pulled. You know you've pulled a chase when you open the box you are instantly blinded by the yellowest bases you have ever seen, soon followed by the box catching on fire
"What about the reality where Hitler cured cancer, Morty? The answer is: Don't think about it."
Both look to be far more balanced than say Superman or CW where you could pull 5 pieces of crap as easily as a fantastic piece. Lots of penetrating in ASM, but lots in Titans too. Probably going to agree most with Spozun though (about synergy) and I'm not sure if ASM offers any Silver Bullets to TT. I'd also go on a limb and say the average damage value is probably slightly higher in TT for the 80-150pt set.

Thats exactly what happened to me. My first ever TT booster i open had a Zookeeper chase in it and i was like why so darn bright a dial.

I would choose TT over ASM. But that's my opinion only cause im more of a DC guy.
This game is all about fun. I completed the asm so I'd go with TT, but if I were to go competitive I'd shoot for asm. There's too many powerful pieces in the set and you don't even need to pull a super or chase. The c/u/r is great.
Personally, I think ASM is the better sealed set. I think the SR's edge out TT's SR's, if not tyhere CUR's. I say edge out. Ultimately , I agree with the other poster above: play what you like or have the least of. But if you want to win, in my opinion use ASM.
Ifyour worried about Superboy Prime being pulled, consider this, there's is a chance with 12 people playing you will have to break into another case. 4 boosters will be pulled from that case. So there is a 40% chance that a TT chase will be pulled. Then a 1 in 5 chance (5 chases in TT?) that it will be Superboy Prime.
Dracula is a stud. Also an uncommon. What are the chances that he will be pulled as oppossed to a Superboy Prime or even a Deathstrke R? I'd take my chances with ASM.

Superboy prime got annihilated in our sealed due to him being outwitted and also having no backup as far as probs or perplexers. hes alot of points to begin with and to be honest pretty managable. His hypersonic clicks also have battle fury so no range, just hang back a little to start and you can make him over extend to attack. AMS is a better option then TT as far as pulling characters for sealed. The common/uncommon monsters in AMS are really good, I won pleanty of times with werewolves and vampires all by themselves, between the full moon traits and scent of blood.
