500 points modern, do you go 400pt JLA with 100 points of support, or full Villains?
And if so, what support for the JLA? I figure it'd have to be out of the New 52 set for the most part. I was thinking Madame Xanadu but then there's no character 38 or less points with the Justice League keyword. I mean, I could give her an almost full Gauntlet for extra support, or I could use something like Shade the Changing Man and Mindwarp.
Thoughts? I'm thinking of going to this one venue one night that's doing 500 point modern, and I've heard that it's pretty competitive over there so I don't wanna show up like a dumbass and get creamed. I've also only played my team bases twice, so I want to get another chance or two before a lot of venues start making rules against them, which I can see being fair, but I just wanna play them before that happens.
Combat formations? DO you post them in general discussion, or strategy and tactics?

You could always go with JLATB, Madame Xanadul, and 25 point Batgirl from the BM gravity feed. You still have room to slap the JLA Silver Age ATA on all 3 of them the team comes out to 499.
The Issue I have with JLA Vs. VFH is that JLA wins every time because it breaks stealth and wins initiative. With VFH, the math for initiative is against you, and you cant break stealth which is where most of their power comes from. In my experience with the VFH, you need to copy a TA that breaks stealth.(I play a lot at 400 and use tony stark from AVM at 50pts, VFH@ 350)

I would need to get my hands on that Batgirl first, but that's a very good idea.
Also, it's not that I know for sure that I'll be playing JLA, but it's between my choosing one of these bases to play. I also have New Teen Titans, but ehhh... I'll just make myself a JLA team starting at 400... I just wish they had RS instead of charge, starting on the 400 point dial.
so what do you think? I doubt that I'll get that Batgirl in time... I'm thinking of just going with Shade the Changing Man and Mindwarp to make it an even 500. I guess I have a couple other options that I could put the belt on, but I dunno.
