Originally posted by Ultraclix Can I declare that Rogue picks up Scarlet Witch, then have Magneto TK Rouge up to 10 squares distant, THEN have Rogue taxi SW further away?
No.
Rogue picks up Scarlet, but then must immediately drop her when she ends her action. (it's part of the carrying aspect in the rules)
NOW, Rogue can be TK'd 10 squares away, but she is no longer carrying Scarlet, but Rogue can fly 10 more squares after the TK.
I do not like that answer. I was hoping that I would get a yes.
If wishes were horses, ya-de-ya-de-ya.
Just to clarify: Instead of SW and Rogue it is Thor already carrying a forklift. Mags TKs Thor 10 squares. In order for Thor to move, must he release the forklift?
NO. Why not? BECAUSE a figure must use an object in battle or lose their superstrength in order to release an object.
Ok. Now that I have answered my own question, I am curious why Thor could continue to move with a forklift, but would have to deposit someone he would taxi before he moved after being TKd.

But who cares about all those carrying ?
I'm the unconditional militant for the making of Porcupine, Man-elephant and Armadillo as clix !

To back up the other answers---carrying objects and carrying figures obey entirely separate sets of rules. You pick up an object sometime while moving, and must keep it until SS leaves your dial, or it is used in combat. That is the basic law for objects.
The rules for carrying figures, however, are very clear---you must pick up as movement starts, and then drop off as movement finishes. You will never be carrying a friendly figure outside of the movement action, and you cannot be TKed during your movement, as the one action must finish before the other begins.
Besides which, if you had to wait to drop off a figure until you used that figure in combat...well, that would be pretty interesting. "I drop off Spider-Man by slamming him into Terrax." Funny, but doesn't really sound quite right.
