With the last issue of Red She-Hulk, it looks like shes saying goodbye..for now..

However, during her adventures in the somewhat short run, she found out the origin of the "Big @$$ Sword": The Order of the Shield.

Throughout a huge, high-action sprint to prevent a foreseen Human/Superhuman War, she gathered together quite a unique group.

The comic ended with her becoming part of The Order and talking about being part of a new "team". Behind her were her friends shed fought alongside while battling Super Soldiers and even The Avengers.

I built a 500pt team based on this I call the Warriors of the Shield..and I really hope they plan to end Bettys solo run by starting new stories based on this team. Just thought Id share it. 500pts Even. Cool, Open-Minded Judges just might grant me Theme on this

(Speed) T-Bolt's Chosen Transport: Man-Thing can use Phasing/Teleport. Man-Thing can use the Carry ability and when he does, he may carry two characters with the Mystical or Thunderbolts keyword and his speed value is not modified by it.

(Attack) Whatever Knows Fear...: Man-Thing can use Poison. When he does, instead of dealing normal damage, roll a d6 that can't be rerolled for each adjacent opposing character. One of my absolute favorite comics to come out of the Marvel NOW! thing. I really hope the story continues too.

While at first I wasn't too thrilled by the idea of Red She-Hulk, I absolutely love the way Matt Fraction wrote her in Defenders, and the way Jeff Parker wrote her in this series. The idea that she's positively STOKED about having super-powers after so many decades of being the [damsel-in-distress/woman-in-the-refrigerator] makes her character really appealing to me, and I kind of hope they apply that idea to more of the old "love interest" characters (Rescue is awesome for similar reasons).

Nerd-rambling aside, that seems like a really fun team to play!

(Also, the Debris BFC would probably go a long way with this team.)

Betty having it happen was unique and I really dig it. Im glad you eventually appreciated her. Everyone gets so down on the Hulks like theyre all some knock-off trick. Like all of them are the same. All the different backgrounds, all the personalities, all the character evolution.. so theyre knock-offs why? Oh because theyre all Humans who take another form? Oh...its because theyre not green? Wow... Down to skin color now, is it? Hmmm. Watch yourself haha

As for the team.. def my next go-to team for whatever 500pt game comes up. And if its 600 ill use the 125pt Gravity feed She Hulk and hopefully the FI Rare Betty...if I ever pull her. Lol. And its easy to down-size for 400pts too. Put Man-Thing at 100 or possibly use an older Machine Man.

I agree that I definitely don't want to see it overused, especially with characters like Jane Foster who have already evolved beyond this damsel-in-distress status naturally.

I feel like Betty was most deserving of an upgrade, though, because she's been thrown under the bus more than most any supporting character deserves, lol.

Guess I should have put Ross-Banner or Red She Hulk lol. As long as no one calls her Shrulkie.. almost as bad as Ventry when the cooler name is clearly Sentroid..

Ive never followed Iron Man, really. Whats the story behind Rescue and what can she do? I could research it but I like hearing from fans more about characters. Lol

Tony Stark left the Rescue suit for Pepper in case she ever needed it, which she did when Norman Osborn took over SHIELD. She didn't want it to have any weapons, so he built it with super-powerful force-fields instead.

Ah ..so when they made the last movie we sort of got a half-ass Rescue? Haha
