Can this be combined with ForceBlast? trying to figure out a way around mystics.

no because force blast isn't an attack. It doesn't hit, you just roll a dice if they're adjacent to you and the result of the d6= how far they are moved back.

although I'm wondering if the timing of the power would negate mystics anyways because you hit them before damage is dealt, which is when the power kicks in. Not sure but interesting

Yes as soon as that character is hit he losses his team ability it triggers fist because the players who turn it is decides how he or she wants to trigger it.so you can do it before you take the mystics or after if you want...

it negates their TA when you hit, which is before damage is dealt.
mystics activates when damage is dealt.

Does the order of these events appear in the rule book?

They don't need to, the appear in the powers themselves.

When Cyclops hits an opposing character

When a character using the Mystics team ability takes damage from an attack, the attacker is dealt 1 unavoidable damage. This damage is not an attack.

those are two different parts of the of being attacked.

Does this power work against ATAs as well?

No keywords, no ATA's.

And it also says no Team Abilities. No TAs = No ATAs.

So if we ever get an ATA that doesn't use keywords, this will still cover it
