I have to ask this due to a friend of mine don't believe me that you have to roll the Asset Dial if the is showing. he said that a rule arb. or wiz kids need to say so or he wont play it like it should be due to he see it that if you don't pick someone for it, take no action, double tokened and clear, or pass your first turn(in case of vfh/gen 13/outlaws) then you don't have to roll for it.

If he has a teambase or if you do it is very clearly written on the card what to do when the symbol comes up. It is a written rule that when the symbol appears you must role at the end of your turn.

Tell him you won't play HeroClix with him until a rules dude says you don't have to roll. He has no more of a right to have it his way, until officially told otherwise, than you do.
I just grabbed the Brotherhood card because it was handy, but here is what it says:

At the end of your turn, you may roll a d6 and turn the asset dial that many times to the left. If the icon is showing at the end of your turn, this roll is required.
That shouldn't be difficult to understand.
Rolling for the asset dial is optional unless the symbol is showing at the end of your turn, and then it is required.
I mean, seriously? "I won't comprehend simple sentences unless an orange tells me that they mean what they clearly say"?
I have a question here. do you get to click past your starting line in the asset dial? what happens if say, i was on click 18 on my blue x-men TB asset dial . then i roll a 5. does it move on to click 3? or get stuck on click 20?

If you run out of clicks on the asset dial, it has been "used up". Remove the team base from the game immediately, and award no victory points for the team base.

Since there is nothing telling you the dial has a last click or KO clicks, it will keep spinning.
