Considering the wording of the trait on IM, if an opposing team is using the Book does that mean that IM rolls Adaptive Armor for ALL opposing figs? Or is it just limited to the one chosen to benefit from the Book?
If another thread covers just plz link it and I'll read it up.
Iron Man would gte the benefit against every character, whether they were assigned the benefits of the Book or not.
It wouldn't even matter if they had been given a hammer.
Very true...ouch

Was there ever a decision made on if Adaptive Armor would kick in vs characters added to the game AFTER the book was assigned? Gulyadkin the Lion and E.V.A. come to mind.

And the question of 'after start' characters is actually a very good one.
Does the Book go, 'oh look, new peeps!' and cover them as well? Or does it treat them like the red-headed step child of the team?
Resources are assigned as part of force construction and prior to the figures actually hitting the map.
Characters that are added to your force after force construction would not have the Book of the Skull added to them. This is the same as an ATA. If I have an ATA on my force and I then add a figure to my force that meets the criteria for that ATA, they do not gain access to that ATA.
Further for the Book of the Skull, this is also true for figures that you Mind Control. If you Mind control an opposing figure they do not gain access to the Book of the Skull.

This would indicate that all a character need be to be tossed hammers and gain benefits from the Book is "Friendly" not assigned the Book during construction. Now if I toss Gulyadkin a Hammer and then attack Iron Man, his AA will kick in as Gulyadkin now has a Relic on his card, however if I never toss him a Hammer would he count as being assigned the Resource? I see no reason he would be.
Once used Iron Man against a fellow using the Book and Ghost Rider. He kept questioning and calling the judge over to verify attacks and damage against Iron Man. Safe to say, he was pretty pissed and I thrashed him really fast with Iron Man.
