1) Is range measured to the square the target is in or the square adjacent to the target? The former seems logical but in that case there would be no difference between having 0 and 1 range.
2) Can you perplex 0 range to 1, if the answer to the last questions was the latter?
3) You can't outwit team abilities, only if the character possesses a power through the team ability, right? In that case why does a character with the Batman Ally team ability have stealth on their dial?
1) Range is measured to the square the target is in. There is definitely a difference between Range of 0 and 1.
2) Yes, you can Perplex 0 up to 1.
3a) Correct, you cannot use Outwit to counter a Team Ability, unless it is a special power that specifically says you can.
3b) If your dial Stealth DOES get countered (say from a Superman with Outwit) you still have it from the Team Ability. Same thing if you played against someone with the Utility Belt, that uses it to say you cannot use Team Abilities that turn, you would still have Stealth from the dial.

Cheers! So you measure range according to the amount of squares between the attacker and the defender, not counting the squares either character is in?

The square the target is in IS counted.
A = Attacker, T = Target
. . . .
A . . T
. . . .
The target is 3 squares away, you need Range of at least 3 to make a ranged combat attack.

The target is 1 square away. (A Sharpshooter could make a ranged attack if it has at least 1 range.)

You don't count the square the attacker is in, but you do count the square the defender is in.

No, you count the number of squares between the attacker and the target including the target's square but not the attacker's. So a range of 1 will reach the adjacent square, a range of 2 will reach the next square, and so forth. The target's square has to be within the range or the effect can't reach the target.
edit: ninja'd by the Squirrel here, too! Double phooey!

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Range 1 will also allow you to shoot up at a character on elevated terrain if you are below them in an adjacent square. That's always a fun strategy to surprise an unsuspecting opponent.

I had the IG on Squirrel Girl, and reached Ultimate Godhood Attained. My opponent based me with his AVM 211 Loki. I chose PW for my power, the +2 gave me a PW range of 1, and I hit him for 4 with no Mystics feedback.

PILOT ABILITY: FAMILIAR CONTROLS: Prerequisites: Batman Ally team ability or Batman Family keyword. Batcycle can use Stealth and Outwit.
I guess in case the cycle's TA gets countered or it cannot be used
Moompix is correct on counting squares
From the rulebook, p.11
Every character has a range value printed on its base. This is the maximum number of squares that a character’s ranged combat attack can reach. If the range value is greater than 0 and your character is not adjacent to an opposing character, then your character can make a ranged combat attack.
Nobody in the Batman FF pack possesses the Batman TA with Stealth on any click.
I actually can't find a single figure that has both Bats TA & Stealth.
Fast forces Alfred has the batman ally symbol on his dial but it has been clarified that it was a misprint. I don't know if some packs were different but I know my ff Alfred has the symbol showing on his dial.
Edit: he has stealth on his dial. So that may of confused anyone not aware of the erratta
