I know on the Utility Belt you can change which objects you use in each of your matches at a tournament.
Can you do the same for hammers with the Book of the Skulls? It says you pay for each hammer slot that is activated and then put the hammers in their corresponding slot and that the hammers are attached to their corresponding slots. To me this can be interpreted either way.
Thank you in advance.

Force Construction - The Book of the Skull costs 6 points, plus 3 for each Hammer slot that is activated. Hammers are attached to The Book of the Skull in their corresponding slot.

Nope. I think you are trying too hard to see things how you want them to be.
kthx<3u
Because I said I can see how it can be interpreted either way I'm trying too hard? I just wanted to know how the Book works and that's why I asked the question.
You probably shouldn't be answering questions in the rules forum with that kind of an attitude. You might scare away new players. Condescending tones for people asking questions is never looked upon favorably.

I'm gonna say no to switching hammers between rounds. You pay for a hammers slot during force construction and only a specified hammer can fit in said slot. If you pay to use Skadi's slot on the Book, then only her hammer can go into that slot unlike the Utility Belt whose slots are not unique to the item placed there.
Ringer, I'm not sure you're paying for a specific slot on the Book (I'm also not sure you're not paying for a specific slot.)
It seems vague to me (and apparently to Jeterey as well), vague enough that I think it warrants a clarification: when I pay 15 points for my Book am I paying for the Book plus 3 random slots or the Book plus "these three specific" slots?
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

There is only one Slot per hammer, if you pay for Mokk's slot then that is what you will use for the whole tournament.

So I'm not paying 9 points to activate three slots, I'm paying 3 points for Mokk's slot, 3 for Skadi's, etc. I assume the same is true for the Belt: I'm paying to activate (for example) item slot #1, #3 and #4 as opposed to 3 random slots?

That is correct.
