I am in the middle of a game. My Clark Kent has toughness and is next to 2 pieces with poison. Does he take 1 click of damage because he is dealt 2 from poison? Or does he take none because it is one click from 2 different sources?

He takes none because each one resolves seperately.

No, he will not. It is still two actions that deal one damage each. Mastermind does not suddenly change these two actions into one action.

D'oh, I completely misread what he was talking about. I was still thinking about the original scenario with two poisoners adjacent to a character with Mastermind and the fodder not being adjacent to the poisoners.
