AMAZONIAN PRINCESS: Wonder Woman can use Leadership. When she does and rolls a 6, in addition to the normal effect you may remove an action token from herself or an adjacent character with the Amazon or Trinity keyword.

Justice League: New 52 Additional Team Ability (ATA)

When a character using this team ability is adjacent to a friendly character using Leadership, add 1 to the result of the die roll, maximum 6, if not already modified by this effect.

Question:

If Wonder Woman is using the New 52 ATA and rolls a 5 does she get the additional effect?

Because the Amazon Princess trait does not use the number 6 in it's text, but a picture of a die with six pips, I believe a roll of 5, even if it's modified up to 6, would not activate the trait.

She's also not adjacent to herself. She needs someone else to use the ATA, it does nothing for her.

Right, so lets say she is adjacent to 150 point Tab App Superman who is also using New 52. Can she pull a token off of him or herself after rolling a 5 then?

Short Answer: Yes.

Longer Answer: They went to symbols on cards, but they are ruled to be no different than it saying "if you roll a 6", and as the ATA clearly adds to the Roll, but cannot exceed 6, yes a 5 would become a 6.
