Sounds like an Epic Victory win for both to sing songs about.
For the folks that want to award aggressive carnage on the field of battle why not just keep track of points KO'd and not victory points? Then you wouldn't have to worry about winning by roll off or having a 3-0 person take a tournament while only racking up 150 points in kills?
Why do you need oranges, when the answer can be found clearly from the rulebook (as pointed out by rorschachparadox)?
Are you kidding me? This is a slightly more complicated than usual situation of, "uhhhh, when I carry and charge with a perplex, what order do I replace and modify, uhhh," and there's no direct answer to it.
I like to refer to the HeroClix rulebook as similar to the US Constitution in that it can be interpreted in different ways by different people, even if the majority of people still think it's obvious that it says one thing, unless it's totally clarified by someone in authority, some people are still going to have their own interpretation.
I read the posts and the rule book, and I have a good idea of what the answer is that I'd probably give 75% chance of being right, probably higher actually but whatever. The point is, it's not totally cookie-cutter cut and dry, and an exact clarification by somebody the rule book states is qualified to give that clarification would be wonderful. Just a direct "in that situation, the attacker KOing the Mystics TA figure would win, but both would score victory points; or like, if an attacker would be KOd from mystics damage taken when KOing the Mystics TA piece, and both are the last pieces left on each team, add up victory points for the winner -- if that's a tie, then it comes down to a roll off," you know, just something straight up and direct that I can point to and show judges, etc...

Oh, well, if all you need is someone listed in rulebook, then see my post above. There hasn't been a new rulebook published since normalview, Quebbster, vlad3theimpaler, and I moved on from being oranges. We're still listed in there.
In all seriousness, I can speak from experience to say that the oranges generally do not come in to a thread to confirm correct answers as being correct...especially when the correct answer is documented with rulebook citations.
How is this unfortunate? Judges are going to make mistakes. They are not computers who are regularly updated by Wizkids with clear instructions. In many cases, they are people; many with lives outside of this game; who do the best they can. There would be a lot of lost time in a tournament as players tried to convince each other that the way they read a rule is the way it is suppose to be played.
And how is this advice going to help? All we know is the judge made a bad call. Your above statement seems to assume the judge purposely ignored the rules and therefore encourages the player to confront the judge. Sure, it is always a good idea to become confrontational with a judge. How about the player goes to the judge later, ask the judge why they made the call they did, and then tries to help the judge see were a mistake was made?

This post is full of unintentional hilarity.
