I am building teams for an upcoming for-fun game. Here's the scenario:
--500 points, 3 actions
--No set restrictions
--No theme needed
--No feats, ATAs, BFCs, relics, special objects, vehicles
--You must actually own the figs in your build.
--You must have three of a character with the same name. They can be from different sets, REVs, etc. The tripled character cannot be a pog or low-cost dedicated Supporter or PCer.
Here's one team which I don't think I'll play but which looks fun:
MM004, 005, 006: Vanisher
TT020 Fairchild
IC V Firelord
SV R Kang
IIM023 Unicorn
CD V Dr. Mid-Nite
IC046 Vulture
UI022 Paramedic
XP R Destiny
Strengths: Great cheap tie-ups, good ranged damage, good AVs, double PC, Barrier and Support
Weaknesses: MC susceptibility, short range for a ranged team, lousy hand-to-hand, low extra action generation, no stealth or stealth-busting, no Outwit.
This is a team that would win or lose very quickly.
I'm not posting my real team. But what would you play in a friendly with these parameters?
Short, sweet and to the point, Broken. Looks like a fun team. Your HSS largely nerfs the tie-up value of my Vanishers, and my lack of Outwit (a glaring problem) means I have to hope you really flub some SS rolls to have a shot at damaging you. You are very vulnerable to MC, though . . . although your mobility and Wanda's Barrier help with that. Also, a high-AV multiple incapper could cause you some trouble through action denial. Thanks for adding your two cents!

200 Shuma-Gorath
47 GG mole man
47 GG mole man
18 3x Security guard
54 6x Mutant Student
102 17x Moloid (rookie, 6 pts each. This is our x3 figure, since he doesn't have support or PC)
30 Skadi's warbot
You are a Monster Theme-team with a +20 to map roll.
Your plan is to out-action opponents by 'multiattacking' with shuma (using mole man's MC).
Skadibot is your secondary attacker, and together with Mutant students copying TK can cross the map with relative ease.
Moloids serve as meat-shields with built-in stealth, and also get you a little extra reach because you almost always have to expand your starting area to fit everything.

This team is hilarious. I can just imagine seeing 30 characters across the table. I have not seen Shuma-Gorath since the Marvel Super Heroes video game (my fave rave: Iron Man), but this Clix looks terrifying.
The MVPs were Iron Fist on my side and the BB Wonder Woman on on my opponent's side (due to lack of range and Charge she could approach Chuck relatively safely without threatening her own team). Colonel Hardy/ E Johnny Alpha is a great combo.
