AVX Thor 100
AVX Witch 100
GG Dr. Strange
FI C Iron Fist
ASM Wong
GG Astral Strange x3
Full Book of Skulls
Secret Avengers ATA (on Thor, Witch, Iron Fist and Strange)
Themed mystics build, more of a fun build than anything else. I figure I'm safe from M10 Iron Man as the Astrals can incapacitate with hammers.
i take it this is modern age and your team is avengers and pieces must be avengers?
edit: i guess they dont have to be avengers if you have wong on your team.

well i think your team is pretty good then. i for one havent used gg strange but have seen how deadly he can be. i personally for the points would use malekith @ 225 or a combination of lower cost pieces in place of strange and wong. and seeing how this map is, i would put kuurths hammer on an astral to use for clearing blocking and walls.

GG Dr. Strange might be a bit underwhelming with the book of the skulls, as it will take him until turn 4 before he can start to attack (move out, equip hammer, clear).
I like AvX Thor a lot with the book of the skull, his trait allows him to deal penetrating damage if he hits 2 figures or more with the quake from the hammer drop. He may even be worth playing at his full point value instead.
Some other decent options that could replace GG Dr Strange;
FI Dr Strange; amazing attacker for the points, revert him to ASM dr strange or GG Dr strange (gravity feed).
DC10th Blue Beetle (if you want DC figures); running shot plus psyblast/pulsewave, and a way to prevent damage once per game.
AVM15 Loki; mind control that does not deal him damage from figures under 250 points, plus outwit, TK, and all other support powers you could need.
Brother Voodoo; enough has been said about his effectiveness.
ToS The Question; prevents easy perplex use by your opponents, while using it twice himself.
D003 Dr Fate; prevents so many white powers that are becoming very common on many figures.
If you like the original set up, I would reccomend at the least putting a 3 point bystander token on your force. Use that to assign power actions to for the book of the skull's second hammer drop for a turn (in addition to the astrals); it's not splitlip, but it does help.
Thanks for the tips guys. I went with Strange and although he was slow to start, once he got going it was very strong. I love controlling the board with the astrals and with hammers they can actually lock down some figures. It was a slow team in a 600 point timed game but I was able to get first from the Avengers side.
