you think with beast boy being able to morph that alot would come from it but im just not seeing it. i mean movement wise im gonna want the pterodactyl cause its a flier meaning i would have no use for the dolphin since fliers go over water. attack wise im gonna wanna go with the tiger until i get something like the t-rex.
idk maybe im missing something here. can any beast boy users give me anything that would make me wanna use these forms?
I've played around with them a bit and can say that they're more versatile than one would expect. the tiger and pterodactyl's benefits are pretty obvious. dc75th beast boy himself has the outsiders ta which can come in handy. the dolphin is still a transporter, whether in the water or not (true story: one time my buddy used him after black gate prison flooded to knock out my black lantern superman!). in all honesty though, Gordanian form is where it's at. personally, I usually just play theme teams, but beast boy has typically pulled his weight for his fellow animals or Teen Titans.
All of the forms are pretty useful. But I find myself typically utilizing the T-Rex, Changeling, Dolphin and Pteradactyl the most. I've played the piece a ton of times, and it typical goes down to what map are you playing on.
T-Rex = Tie-up, damage, blocking line of sight, is great for jumping into a large group of pushed enemies
Dolphin = Great in water, Super Senses, Better defensively than the Pteradactyl in water, Move and Attack, Really versatile and annoying if you've got some water and perplex to increase his damage for move and attack
Pteradactyl = Flier, Carries lots of guys, Nice defense, Charge and Exploit, I generally just use him in the beginning and typically don't morph back into him once I've placed my guys
Changeling = Shape Change, Great power selection + the ability to actually take a swing and morph as opposed to being limited to the move action morph, Flier and able to carry
I always found the Tiger to be too finesse and placement specific to work really effectively and his attack isn't too threatening. The Bear typically suffers from slow movement and low attack and really just seems like a poor man's version of the T-Rex, but hey, Plasticity if you need it. The Cheetah I've never tried since my girlfriend nabbed it from me :-P
