Arkon stormed through Polemachus. What? What was the meaning of this? He returns home to find his people missing? What outrage is this?

Angrily, Arkon returned to Earth to demand answers from the Avengers.

Arkon stormed back to confront the Vision, demanding to know what was going on. Why; after he was abducted, had his subjects been abducted as well.

The Vision began to patiently reexplain the part he'd said that Arkon evidently missed, where abductee's homes would be in this reality but they would see the populous abducted as well over the course of three days.

Day 31: Midnight; near a replicated Star City, on an alternate Earth, in an alternate Universe.

Brunhilde; the Valkyrie, was now in possession of her own body, free and clear. No more ties to frail humans. She intended to return to Asgard and resume her duties.

She had enough of the life of mortals for now.

When she made an attempt to go to Asgard on her own, she found herself rerouted to Star City.

Aleksei Sytsovich looked around in confusion. How had he come to be here? He was the Rhino, and he had been benefiting from the absence of all the superheroes. No one could stand against him.

Now; suddenly, he was in a strange place. Star City? Where was that?

He remained in a state of confusion until the Valkyrie appeared from a rift.

Valkyrie stepped through the rift and immediately noticed the Rhino standing some ways away, looking confident.

She'd never met him but knew about him.

She issued a challenge.

The Rhino had no desire to battle a woman. Not even a viking one.

He told her to leave him alone.

Valkyrie had no intention of leaving the Rhino alone.

Nighthawk was fully recovered. In fact, he was at full strength. The Checkmate medical staff acknowledged he was at full health and Nighthawk flew out into the night.

Valkyrie challenged the Rhino to fight her. The Rhino had no interest fighting a woman, not even a warrior woman like Valkyrie.

Instead he charged into Star City at top speed, bowling over approaching Checkmate Agents.

Valkyrie raced after the Rhino but although she was faster then human, she couldn't match the Rhino's 100 mph pace.

She was; however, intercepted by Nighthawk who was flying over the city and spotted her. Since she didn't have her winged horse, Nighthawk picked her up so they could fly after the Rhino.

The Rhino raced through the city and soon found himself surrounded by Avengers, the Hulk, Hellcat and some superheroes he never saw before.

The Hulk, Wonder Man and the Vision were enough to convince the Rhino that he was outgunned. He began to surrender but then a green youth turned into a green rhinoceros. The Rhino felt he was being mocked and became angry. He charged right through Cyborg and Beast Boy and kept running with the heroes in hot pursuit.

The Midnight Rambler saw his opportunity and intercepted the Rhino as he charged. He teleported the Rhino and delivered him to the Mole Man's underground realm where the Rhino found himself amidst several villains including his old acquaintance the Leader.

But at least he wasn't alone against several superheroes.

Nighthawk and Valkyrie caught up with the Avengers and the Titans who were frustrated by the sudden disappearance of the Rhino as they were chasing him. The Hulk was particularly unhappy that he was unable to fight hornface and had to be placated with the promise of a huge plate of baked beans.

Let me wrap up the Sinister arc here and move on to the Sinister supplemental arc.

Just to let you know. I was planning to save the Rhino, Electro and Baron Strucker for later arcs but decided at the last minute that I didn't want to wait that long to get them into the story. That meant I ended up using three heroes I wasn't planning to so that I could continue my pattern of hero and villain appearing together.

I'm going to start the Sinister supplemental arc shortly. This is for the single character that was made available separately.
