The RPSC (Role Playing Strategy Campaign) exists for those that enjoy some story to give their heroclix games context and life. Each player picks out a team of characters to write for, a team that they will help grow and shape as the team foils villains, closes capers and generally saves the day. After each game your team will earn some experience points, which allows you to unlock more expensive dials, recruit new characters and buy feat cards, relics and ATAs to customize your team. And your team exists in a continuity shared with the other players, a continuity that is not bound by sales figures and editorial edicts, just by our own creativity. Hated "One More Day"? It never happened! Think that Stargirl would've made a cool addition to the Teen Titans? Recruit her onto your version of the team! Wish that the Runaways had never been cancelled? Well here's your chance to show everyone what you would have done with the book!

Our games are played online in the Play By Post forum, so come take a look at the RPSC thread. We're a fun group of players and writers who enjoy sharing ideas, talking about the latest clix releases, and of course playing friendly, story-driven games. If you're interested in joining in you can introduce yourself in the thread or send a PM to the Marvel Editor (myself) or the DC Editor (Jackofhearts2005) depending on which team or characters you'd most want to write and play with. We're not expecting you to be the next Stan Lee, but some reasonable english skills are helpful. Writing fanfiction is half the fun, after all! We're looking for new players to run a number of high profile teams like the X-Men, Justice League, Guardians of the Galaxy, Legion of Super Heroes and more! And if you have an idea for something different (how about "Tales of Asgard", detailing the exploits of the Warriors Three adventuring through the nine realms? How about Batman and his allies struggling to survive inside a quarantined Gotham, like the hit Arkham City game? Get creative!) just pitch your idea and we'll do everything we can to get it flying in the ongoing RPSC continuity.

Is this restricted to just the Marvel/DC universe?

At present we only have Marvel and DC as ongoing continuities. However, We use heroclix dials from every set wizkids releases to populate the ranks of the bad guys. Orcs from LotR make excellent Khunds for the Legion of Super Heroes and Green Lanterns to fight, and any of the Pacific Rim Kaiju can serve as generic giant Godzilla monsters to attack Namor's Atlantis or Wonder Woman's Paradise Island. And the same flexibility exists if there is a hero you want to write about who does not yet exist as a clix.

And that's not to say that we don't have some fun crossovers too. During the last round of Annuals, the Heroes for Hire were challenged by Outworld to a Mortal Kombat tournament, which Iron Fist managed to emerge as the victor of. The last time we checked in on the Exiles, they were visiting Howard the Duck's Duckworld... which also happened to be home to Darkwing Duck, Gizmoduck, Spider-Ham and Ducktor Doom.

So there is a lot of flexibility, and we do what we need to do to have as much fun as possible without stepping on anyone's ongoing plots. Was there a specific setting you were interested in?
