I disagree, legion members will love his Team abilities...cause you know...they can COPY them. Also he has a 19DV at range, 20DV in hindering terrain, id hardly call that LOW
Yes, other Legion members can copy them. But on a Legion team, who are they going to carry? They can all fly, and you can't carry fliers. So without a Legion Flight Ring, the GL team ability is useless on a Legion theme team. You'll notice I didn't mention the Superman Ally team ability, because that one is a useful copy for Legionnaires.

Yes, but Gates is just one Legionnaire. The majority of them can't carry others. However, I am glad that someone is getting use out of it.
Although, it creates the question of whether the number in his special power is restrictive, or whether he'd be able to carry all 8 regardless of speed symbol. Might be a question for the deputies, because I could see it getting heated.

how do you figure the majority of Legionnaires cant carry? only one from this set can't and that's Computo who also has the Legion of SuperVillains keyword as well.
besides that's theres only been 3 other characters with the Legion Keyword who cant carry and they are all Goldenage (Shrinking Violet, Colossal boy and Shvaughn Erin) as they are the only ones without the :m-wing: Symbol
Add him to my Fatal Five who all also happen to be "future" keyworded... I think SO! And they're wild cards. I'll make more use of those TA's than you people that keep arguing in circles about the legionaires all having flight. Excuse, while I go run train
And yet, that isn't themed-TEAM, especially now with the changes to non-generic and generic team benefits. Just except the fact that it is an expensive TA that wasn't necessary or even useful for this character with these keywords. Take it away and he probably costs less/the same as the Prime, and that proves my very first point- he is underpowered for a character with the powers of Superman AND Green Lantern.

Hm, I understand that this guy has a a 20DV if you do it right, but only a 17 when your opponent decides they'd rather clobber you. Oddly, this is a 'superman' that can't take a punch. and the drop from imp to invuln is regrettable to say the least. What shocks me is the damage output for this character. It's very mobile and has a wide shooting range. This can make a figure dangerous. The Superman Ally TA is great too, because you can stealth bust and open up for your other ranged characters (I say this as some characters lose stealth upon receiving damage, there are always exceptions.)
So I will admit that I have not read anything with him in it but...why doesn't he have the Kryptonian keyword?
he is not actually a kryptonian. He is a Daxamite, an off shoot of the kryptonians who colonized other planets. They have the same powers as superman while under a yellow sun, but have no weakness to kryptonite. Instead their weakness is lead, which is in earths atmosphere and slowly kills them. Funny thing, let a Daxamite drink from a pewter cup and he probably dies really fast. So he is not technically a kryptonian.
Mon-El here had trouble with it because his body would have to attempt to cure him of lead poisoning or absorb the yellow suns rays, meaning his powers didn't always work.

I think a lot of people are missing the point of his barrier ability. Sure for each target knocked back he only gets two barriers, but he gets two targets. If he hits both, he has a full free action barrier that he can use as a cohesive barrier or two mini-barriers. That means he can strike and wrap himself or a big opponent in barrier.
this guy with gauntlet and 8 science police = 600 points of evil
But you can pretty much say that about tons of figures if you play them with the gauntlet and 8 Science Police. In don't think that says much about him as a figure as much as how good meta cheeze is.
