Howdy!

I've been struggling to put together a team for AvX month 3.

Here are the restrictions:

• Must include a figure from either AvX booster that has not been used before
• 300pt Contructed of Marvel Modern Age only
• Additional 100pts supplied from Invincible Iron Man booster
• Free to change the starting line\point value of the figure when you make your final 400 point teams.
• Phoenix Force is the only resource allowed. No duos, team bases, relics, or special objects.

I have already used Cyclops and Emma Frost (I was not aware of this requirement when I brought my Month 1 team). I missed Month 2 due to H1Nerd1 I got at a convention.

My remaining choices are Namor, Magneto, and Colossus. Since the maps seem to have a lot of elevated terrain, I wanted to use Magneto, mostly for TKing characters up and down elevations and to have a secondary ranged attacker. I try to keep theme teams as much as possible, but probably can't with the IIM figures.

Team 1:
1. AvX014 Magneto 150pts (I can move him up to 200 if needed)
2. WatX001 Colossus 100pts
3. WatX005 Oracle 49pts
total 299, eligible to move to 349, leaving 30pts for Phoenix Force

Phoenix Force
- Cyclops Fragment (Magneto)
- Namor Fragment (Oracle)
- Colossus Fragment (Colossus)
Objects: Ultra Heavy Object, Heavy Object, Light Object

Team 2:
Substitute AvX002 Colossus for AvX001 Wolverine
(Would love to use Big Bertha as well, but she costs too much for the base force)

Problem with my builds: I don't see me lasting very long, especially against Spider-man teams (most people have used him already, though). I don't have enough points for an IIM character, which is why I'm loading up my characters with fragments.

In reference to my collection:

• IIM figures: a few of the commons and uncommons. Rares I have Wrecker, Iron Doom, Absorbing Man, Death's Head, Iron Monger
• CUR for WatX, with SB Beast, Rogue, and Psylocke
• Random pieces from most Marvel Modern Age main sets
• Very small amount of GF sets

Any suggestions?

As a little update, my team went 2-1. I guess it wasn't so bad!
