Godhood Gauntlet gives bonuses to stats, it can't beat figures on it's own. I've seen figures reach godhood and still die screaming. It all comes down to how you use it. If he had run apocalypse out there first thing, it would have died screaming Godhood or no. Positioning and strategy still made the difference in that fight. My team ran in Leroy Jenkins style and that's why I got knocked out first. If I had the Gauntlet on Odin, nothing would have changed for me except I would have handed an additional 40 points to my opponents.

Using the gauntlet is like playing a FPS online. Are you going to rush it, or sit back and shore up? If you spend too much time trying to get to godhood, the time could run out and you lose on points. If you rush out there before you reach the end of the dial and get hosed, then you've just wasted 40 points. Then there's the third thing that a LOT of people seem to forget. You can actually roll past godhood and land back at the beginning of the dial. I've seen it happen and sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's just sad.

But back to the topic of the game at hand. I had a fun time and if I could go back and change any of it, I wouldn't I had too much fun. In the end isn't that what matters?

That IS what matters. Good for you guys. I liked the story, and that's coming from one of those guys who usually rolls his eyes at resources and team bases. If you all had fun, you were doing it right.
