Ninjas... that is all. Honestly though, have any of you guys had any luck with a Hand team lately?
I just picked up some of them from the Deadpool set and I'm dying to give them a whirl?
I don't know if 'ninjas only' is a good outside of casual, unless you are playing 200 points. The main problem will be movement, but if you are loaded with the Gravity Feed ninjas (and have hindering terrain) you can try to work around this. If you are playing only Ninja at 300 points, the thing to do would probably plan on 5 (or six, depending on points) Ninja plus a power-plant with the Black Light ring.
I've played against Hand teams (using the expensive ATA), but the Ninja have always been backed up by others. The Prime Hobgoblin is nasty on that sort of team.
The Deadpool set has been a real blessing for "The Hand". Let us know how you do!
I'm thinking Book (breaking theme) and Phoenix Force would be great for Hand Ninjas. A problem with playing more than one character per 100 points is that you run out of actions. The Namor fragment provides the "good" old Avengers TA, so the ninjas each fly up to 9 squares and make a free attack with Precision Strike (if adjacent to eachother). Or give them charge via hammers so they each can make two attacks in the same round (remember to bring Splitlip).
Here's a close-to-theme team with guests:
Hand Ninja 43
Hand Ninja 43
Northstar 75
Colleen Wing 55 (she really shines with a charge hammer)
Loki 30 / Bizarro 25
Splitlip 20
Book of Skulls 30
= 299 / 294
I am working on getting a Book for myself with plans to use it on a Hand team. I also run SHIELD teams that will benefit from the Book. Pretty incredible.
It breaks theme but I ran bullseye with silver samurai and two hand ninjas and it performed very well. Bulsseye can shoot through his own guys and get a very nice hydra bonus before they base the other team. Mandarin is also a nice range threat that keeps theme. The LE Wolverine from DP makes hand ninjas and silver samurai very very dangerous.

I played Hydra Wolverine with Kingpin (picking up the Omega Drive) and 2x Hand Ninjas in a hybrid 300/200 sealed event last night. I didn't pull any Hand or Hydra in sealed, but the Hand/Hydra combo with these pieces was bonkers.
Our TO told me he found me a Book with 6 hammers. We have 600 Marvel Silver Age event next week. I'm running my SHIELD team, but the Hand is going to benefit greatly from this pick up.
