When you give a character a move action, it can be moved a number of squares equal to its speed value. Characters can move in any direction, even diagonally, and through squares occupied by other friendly characters (but not opposing characters), though you can’t end a character’s movement in the same square as another character. You don’t have to move a character its full speed value, but you must stop moving the character when it enters a square adjacent to an opposing character.
A, B, C, D are all friendly to one another. X is an opposing character.
Can Character A "move through" B,C,D to use running shot when it ends it's movement in square 1 or 2?
Character A has no "flight ability" no IM ignores characters of any kind. just normal grounded walking.
As seen in your quote "A" would be forced to stop when entering into any of the squares occupied by "B","C" or "D" as that would move it into adjacency to X. And since the rule of occupancy forbids characters from occupying the same square the movement would create an illegal situation and is thus the movement is ruled as illegal and cannot be made.
