Okay so I've been thinking about this since WoL began.

I've loved Earthman since he was first introduced, because a lot of ppl around my neck of the woods were crutching on figs like phoenix, thanos and the like.

While not a really an effective fighter his nerf helped considerably moving into later rounds.

Well now with the onslaught of chase WoL entities on the battlefield, I wanted to get some clarification on what he can/or cannot bring to the table...

All chase WoL entities with COSMIC keyword (except black hand)

So is it safe to assume that beside nerfing the option of selecting the standard speed power option of the entity that since the possessed also now have the COSMIC keyword, their standard speed powers are also nerfed? It says that the character "has" the keywords of the entity, but the second half of the sentence "can use the Possessed ability..." makes it sound as though their possessed character has the option of ignoring the possession.

I realize that if they did (ignore possession), they wouldn't get any of the bonuses from the possessor entity, correct?

If they did choose not to use the the possessed ability, would that negate them "having" the Cosmic keyword, or would I still get the -2 to their DEF.

Inquiring minds want to know...

If the Possessed gains (has) the Cosmic keyword, then it would not be able to use Charge, HSS and RSS, regardless of their source. The Possessor (Entity) is off the map and would not have its own speed powers affected, afaik.

The Cosmic keyword is what ultimately prevents the speed powers from being used.

Transporter too, right?

Move and Attack is HSS with special rules, so that would be prevented as well. Carry would still be usable.
