I can't believe no one has said anything about how tiny his sculpt is. I understand he's hunched over but come on. I ordered him and the Prime Captain Marvel and he dwarfs Thanos! With how cool the preview image was, I am EXTREMELY disappointed. It's not a terrible sculpt just don't like how small it is I feel as if it's an injustice to him.
Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

You do realize that whiz kids/necca has reduced their sculpt sizes considerably right? Many figures are smaller with the exception of a handful of figures striking a grandiose pose. (Such as darkhawk) start comparing galactic guardian pieces to Gotg pieces and you will see what I mean. They have been reducing sculpts slowly but surely since the beginning. Compare the FIRST Thanos sculpt with all others . lol An odd factor in all of this is giants have finally returned with bigger sculpts rather than just sporting the symbol. Very odd....

I had hope because of Juggernaut and Sasquatch in Iron Man. They have been making Big but not giant characters BIG in the last few sets. Then we get this guy(well some people got him... I didn't, and he's apparently worth more than the super rares?)
I don't know that I agree they've been on a trend towards shrinking figures; even compared to figures in set this Thanos is pretty small. Just 1 collector slot above him is Black Dwarf who is huge! Supergiant (contrary to the name should not be that big) right after him would probably be taller than him even if Thanos weren't hunched over. The entire Black Order is much bigger than him, which isn't right. Heck Lockjaw even comes to his shoulders! They goofed I think, but the pose of the sculpt is still pretty cool I think.
Pulled this guy in a 400 pt sealed event where we got 1 WOL booster and 1 GotG booster. They allowed us to use power batteries and constructs even though it was sealed. I was the only guy that didn't run the power battery (cause Thanos can't use it) and I went 3-0 wining the whole thing, this guy is a beast, the resource restriction wasn't even an issue. Those middle RCE clicks are probably his worst clicks, but I rolled his leadership twice giving me extra turns without clearing, and the bloody path trait allowed him to make quick work of my opponents

Always happy to hear stories about the underdog defeating impossible odds against resources! However if he was pitted against a fully powered gauntlet things may have worked differently. But I'm not going to pull away from your awesome victory....it is incredible that you beat other teams with resources while using this Thanos..

Are you aware that you could have used the Battery, though? The Battery only becomes assigned to characters that have constructs on their cards, so you could've put a construct on everyon except Thanos.
I don't donate and I use adblock. I guess that makes me a thief?

I actually was, but my team ended up being Thanos and Brother Hymm 385pts and minimum for the battery is 16 points so I was 1 point over being able to play the Power Battery. Didn't need it though. :)
Well, I'm not sure why his trait didn't exclude the Infinity Gauntlet, but I suppose that's a non-issue. Thanos rocks, and he's totally worth 300 points. He damages the opposing force before the game even really gets anywhere, which is extremely potent. Otherwise he's simply very, very powerful sporting huge numbers and some of the best powers the game has to offer. I intend to team him up with Terraxia in a 400 at some point, which is thematic and actually pretty damn potent if you think about it for a second. He's awesome, but not too complex; even with his many traits, they're all very simple, and most of his powers are Standard (the one that isn't is also pretty simple, or just won't be too relevant.)
"It is a fool's prerogative to utter truths that no one else will speak." "Prove you have the strength and courage to be free."
One thing to keep in mind is that many teams have support figures that really want to be on that top click and lose important powers if they're not. You may not be killing all your opponent's support before the game even starts, but you're doing measurable damage. The Sercys and Scarlet Witches of the world are losing TK, Blue Lantern Recruits losing Enhancement and Perplex, etc. If they want to retain those powers you're doing 1-2 free damage to their best piece, and bypassing Shape Change and Super Senses if they have it. Only Impervious can get out of it, and I'm okay with that considering the odds.
I'm giving Thanos here 4/5 easily. He can deal AT LEAST 5 damage to the target of his trait on every single click (I don't get the low damage complaints?) and he's got a great mid-late dial. He's not going to be alpha striked by Psy Blast either. If we're talking bricks in the 300 point range he's no Tyrant but he's certainly an upgrade over the (very good) GG SR IMO.
