I'm very curious, we will be having a 1000 point match coming up at our venue soon.

This match will be a bring the worst, most meta, most cheesy, most horrible 1000 point team.

So here is my question, its two fold. A) what would be your 1000 point team, B) give advise to building a 1000 point Asgardian team that you feel fits into this category.

Golden age? Modern age?

As far as Asgardian teams, I'm not sure. I've always liked the idea of FI Odin and swarms (people seem to gravitate towards HoT Valkyrie).

You can't play relics/special objects (i.e. the Cosmic Treadmill) with a resource. It's one or the other.

Ugh. I thought I was in the clear since it's not a relic, not sure how I missed that in the rulebook. Thanks for the heads-up.

Does anyone in the area own Starro?

With Asgardians I'm not sure how cheesy it can get. In my experience you get the most out of the cheap Asgardian Warriors and Valkyries from Hammer of Thor. You need a character with both the Asgardian and Deity keyword to receive the minion bonuses, so I include three of those below:

add the 4 point ATA that makes them uncounterable, total comes to 983, which would make me consider choosing an omega drive for an extra 3 points,

Maybe have two teams, one team centered around the Chase raccoon, have starlord and aleta there left and right of him and then yondu just behind, try to take advantage of the enhancement and +1 to attack, maybe have a mantis right there to give the friendly mind control and PC.

Second team is meant to get in close, Groot, SR rocket, Talon, a mantis, killraven, and major victory. Mantis and Major Victory skirt just behind those main attackers to provide support and tertiary attacks, Killraven should position to be able to shut down whatever you need to.

Alternatively consider replacing certain figures such as talon/killraven/yondu with some bigger hitters such as Martyr, Iron man, Angela.
