My theory is to use etrigan as a life battery for abra, if he needs a power, and use chillblaine to run interference while etrigan and abra are the primary damage dealers.
Chillblaine can be used to fuel abra as well, and with 2 stop clicks it's not that bad of a trade.
Feel free to suggest figures, and point out flaws in my strategy.
I only have figures from WoL (common/uncommon/rare full set), and most of the flash set. (I have a few boosters worth of deadpool, and a few boosters worth of teen titans)
Other sr/chases I have are: shade, gorilla grodd, cobalt blue, deadpool and bob, and adara.
That's actually a really interesting team. It took me a while looking at it to figure out how I'd use it in different situations.
As an option: Abra can put Chillblaine onto his second click to get TK, which could then be used to toss Etrigan out for an unexpected first strike. The process could be repeated, using Etrigan the second time, to pull him back after two hits and restore him to full health as a free action.
Unfortunately there are many ways to break this up and my biggest concern if I were running it myself would be mobility and strike range. My next concern would be someone just outwitting Etrigan and taking him down in one turn with a pair of strong hits. The reason I look so much at how the defenses might fall is because the team has no real way of removing threats before they deal some pretty heavy damage, so Etrigan really does need to tank the hits for this to work.
So while I might look for an alternative to chillbane to suit my own playstyle, I like that team. Potential of penetrating damage from two sources, charge + running shot, barrier, mystics, stop clicks and full heals as a free action: it just has tons of goodies and lots of room to learn how to play with it.
Thanks. I figured I could always use abra as a support piece if the need arose. Take a click from chill or etrigan for support or regeneration if the opportunity presented itself. I know their dials are pretty shallow, but I planned on running interference with chill.
edit: also, abra can carry etrigan while he's earthbound/neutralized unless I'm mistaken.
