Such a cool piece, what is there not to love? Sure, the defense is mediocre, but with all that regen, it's excusable. He's got some great AV's and damage potential, that shouldn't be overlooked. For feats give him Auto Regen, The Society, and possibly hold the line or protected. The keywords are sweet. ALWAYS give savage a good TKer. For Warrior teams give him a Johnny Alpha TK or for SSoSV give him a AA Despero TK!!!
Vandal is worth a look - from the new quality of the Leadership power to the fact that he qualifies for the Monster Society of Evil ATA to let him add a sort of Poison to his arsenal. Don't forget that you can throw an object - it can sometimes mean he can make a threat without as much personal risk. His defenses are indeed low, so don't send him in first, but do feel free to push him right through his dial since he needs to get his hits in and has plenty of chances to Regen later. Focus on destroying whomever is in front of you with 4 damage (which he is capable of for 5 clicks) and then worry about Regen later - or slap on Auto-Regen. If you'd rather be defensive, put The Society ATA on him instead of MSoE. On those back clicks... consider whether Flurry might finish someone off before automatically reaching for the Regen roll.

A fellow gamer recently complained to me "we need a vandal savage figure" and I told him that there was an older figure of him. He responded: "yeah but we need a modern savage" to which I responded have you seen his dial? No really have you looked at it? Lol.....needless to say he was a bit shocked. This guy STILL holds his own in a modern fight. A mini hulk that has outwit and perplex! Not to mention he qualifies to lift an ultra heavy object now! Which means he's dealing a total of 7 damage on his first few clicks....wow. those attack values...the reducers.....mid dial regeneration ...end dial regeneration. I think we can wait for a new one. :)
Jackstar, agreement on the "Past" keyword. who in the DCU is more "past" than Vandal Savage? Arion, maybe?
I just bought my kids a booster of older Clix each at our FLGS, and my 6yo pulled this fig. I play Golden Age w/no feats, ATAs, BFCs or cards, and Savage looks great. I traded my son a Box for Savage. "Look! A shiny red and silver robot!"
I love the globe. All world-dominating villains need an up-to-date globe for plotting purposes.
It's really hard to top this well-designed Vandal Savage. Cost-effective and updates to super-strength, leadership, and even battlefury have only served to boost this figure's worth.
I really need to pull this guy out of the tacklebox. My only real complaint is that, as a figure of his time, he has an extremely mediocre run of defense values and an ending 14...but even then, he has good powers to have there in good places to have them, and is pushable enough that coming to the scene before Indomitable isn't really a mark against him. Amazingly playable for a blast from the...oh, right, no Past keyword. Okay, I take it back, I do have ONE complaint. Kidding aside though, watch out for this Savage.

REClixed: Justice for Dmitri Pushkin (your sacrifice will not be forgotten)! New generic Rocket Red @50-75 points while we're at it? Still no 19DV Defender? (WoS Groot doesn't count)
