Excellent version of the character. He's only traited leap/climb or IM away from being a definitive Agent Venom. To all those who defended the Deadpool FF one: now there's a direct comparison that shows he isn't worth the 125 points.
All 3 of these new Versions I think are excellent, just excellent. I just noticed they're all 120 Points and each have really nice Dial Design Layout and symmetry to them. I must say, out of all 3 I think I like this one the best. It was tough but what put it over the top for me is the bevy of Keywords Flash is rocking here. All of them have great ATAs to utilize and as mentioned earlier, the Guardians of The Galaxy Keyword opens up some very intriguing options in Thematic Team Builds (and Competitive, even.) I actually don't have a Flash Thompson Venom piece, not even the Deadpool Set pieces, I think I'll make this one my first ...

I have all 3 figs!! and this flash thompson completes my collection!! in fact i loved this piece so much i got 2!!! convention, Dp ff and both versions from the Dp booster set!! and now the Op!! might consider selling one.. but as one of my FAVE 5! this is the best flash thompson for his points!!! many teams you will be on i see...
Compared to all the other Agent Venom's this is the best one. Compared to the other Symbiote OP figs, he's probably the worst dial "for the points" (saying a lot about the other two as all three are phenomenal). Thunderbolts ATA is a must to make him feel more accurate as it allows him to move and shoot through hindering. Where he really shines (and thus will be getting more play from me than the others) is keywords. He has a lot of biggies for theme-only players like myself. Also, he provides a much needed ranged threat for the Spider-Man Fam as they all sort of play like Spidey (charging close combat bricks). Finally I love that his keywords give him plenty of options for copyable ATAs while he has the potential to copy a TA himself. Versatile figure.
This is finally the Flash Thompson that I can throw the 4 point GotG classic ATA on... and his powers suddenly have no fear of being countered. I admit, I'm disappointed that he's not got some improved movement or even just Leap/Climb... that's as much a part of Flash's Venom as anything. But fine... I'll gladly take this for what it is, here and now.... until we see his NEW GotG suit made into a piece.
"A" is "A". And no matter what universe he's from, Luthor... is Luthor.
I think the ATA's wording ("This team ability can't be used by wild cards") is just an outmoded way of saying it's uncopyable. If so, he's fine to be assigned the GotG ATA.
So it appears that this version will NOT work with the ID card? Correct me please if I am wrong.
I don't have the card in front of me to check, but it should still work as the real names are the same. Doesn't matter, because I'll be using it pretty much exclusively to bring in Eddie Brock Venom!
The ID card says Flash Thompson for the real name and Venom for the hero name.
His real name on the back of the card is Eugene "Flash" Thompson and the hero name is Agent Venom. That is what made me think that this particular figure won't work, because his name is not identical to the ID card.

I asked about this on the WKES forum and got a "don't post duplicate questions" denial with a link to http://wizkidseventsystem.com/bb/vie...p=18595#p18595 . Looks to me like WizKids is taking the position, then, that Agent Venom officially does NOT work with the Venom ID card. Disappointing.
Also confusing, since there are no figures I'm aware of with the real name "Flash Thompson" (as opposed to "Eugene "Flash" Thompson").
