A NEW KIND OF JUSTICE LEAGUE: Adjacent friendly characters with a lower point value and the Justice League keyword can use the Superman Ally team ability. Friendly characters named Batman or Wonder Woman don't have to be adjacent or a lower point value.
if a lower point adjacent Justice League character starts a move action adjacent to Superman can they use the Superman Ally TA for their movement or can they only use the ta while staying adjacent to Superman, making it effective only for ranged attacks/powers?
It was ruled for ID cards that: "Since the character is using the powers and abilities granted by Inspiration at the start of the action, it will continue to [use] them until that action resolves."
I would think Superman's power functions the same way.
This is an excellent question! I know for powers like HSS you keep the power until the action resolves even if you lose it during your movement for some reason. I would imagine it works the same for Superman Ally but the check for adjacency might be checked "constantly" by the game.

Actually, it was already ruled on. In the case of ID Characters, when they grant an effect or power that has to last the whole action because it's part of the action, it stays (eg. +3 speed will remain +3 speed after they leave adjacency)... but when it grants something that the action hasn't started for yet, it doesn't stay (eg. +1 Dmg won't stay if you RS away from the character and then shoot when not adjacent because the action to use the damage value hasn't started yet). It's akin to being able to finish your Flurry or HSS if you lose the power in the middle of the action.
In the case of Superman, your adjacent JLA figure will have the Superman Ally until they leave adjacency from him so if they are a non-flier and start in hindering, they ignore that square for movement... if it's on the edge of the hindering, they are good and can keep going, but if they move into another square of hindering, they would have to stop in that next square.
...although all that being said, I was looking for the ruling and I'm not able to find it so they may have taken it down (or I'm just not looking for the right keywords). :-s
When in doubt, ask WES... they'll tell you if it's already been asked.
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????

I found this one. I think it's what you might have been looking for.
YEAH! I knew I had asked on one like this and I had Ultimates in the back of my head, but it didn't make sense. LOL! Thanks for the help. Rep to you!

Superman team ability allows a character to ignore hindering when it moves. So, if a character is given a move action while adjacent to Superman, wouldn't that trigger the team ability and allow the figure to ignore hindering terrain as it is moved until the move action is completed?
That is how they ruled Daredevil's inspiration ability.
I was answering the question about the movement, not the ignoring hindering for line of fire purposes.

"Daredevil's Inspiration power on the ID Card is to give adjacent friendly characters: Leap/climb..."
"Since the character is using the powers and abilities granted by Inspiration at the start of the action, it will continue to them until that action resolves."
So with Daredevil, the Inspiration allows the friendly to leave adjacency and still get the benefits because they started an action with Leap/Climb so the power has to work throughout the action (like losing Flurry or HSS during the action). Technically, they lose L/C in the middle of the movement, but because the power was activated, it has to last through the rest of the action.
With Superman Ally, it just affects how you interact with Hindering, it's not a separate power... your move doesn't stop because you are no longer adjacent, you just no longer ignore the terrain for movement because it's not a power that was initiated. Does that make sense?

Well, at least you'd get to use it and not halve your movement if you started in hindering terrain next to Superman (and didn't encounter any other hindering terrain).

Exactly! You'll always start with it (which can be great if you're on the edge of hindering to not get that 1/2 speed) and you'll also be able to shoot from adjacency with him to ignore hindering (even if you RS into adjacency and then shoot)... those are the main bonuses I can see aside from having a Batman or Wonder Woman on the team with him.
