Hello there! I'm brand new to HeroClix. They looked interesting and I decided to pick them up. Unfortunately I'm having to teach myself and a friend how to play just going on the rule book and YouTube videos and such. Anyways, being as I'm new I've only gotten 3 packs so far, 2 flash boosters and 1 avengers. I was hoping that I could get some 300 point team suggestions for my figures and maybe some points on what I should be looking for or whats good or bad about them. I'll take any advice whatsoever!
That sounds good. She's got a couple packs of her own, but I'm not as familiar with what she has (besides the harley quinn I wanted). Our first time trying the game I tried grodd and reverse flash, which I'm guessing isn't so good since I can't use all 3 actions per turn.
Oh question, on the hero team you suggested, the point value is 302. Is that valid in a 300 point team because it's within so many points of 300? Or is that just a suggestion to help learn to play?

I thought you were playing at home.
If you are going to a tournament then I'd go to the exact number of whatever the build is.
I was impressed my suggestions came to the same number...
Hero team lets you practice HSS.
The Villain team is thematic vs the Flash and you get to try out a team with one main attacker.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
We areplaying at home, I just try really hard to adhear to the rules as close as possible to get a good feel for how the game works. I plan on attending the month 1 of the avengers op in a couple weeks and I'm hoping to know a thing or two by the time I go.

Build rules are all different.
My Age of Ultron event is 425 points, for example.
You may consider going before the AoU and get to know the players and judge. This will make your AoU event more enjoyable.

I would if I could but the event is an hour away and I have to work around my wife's and children's schedules so my opportunities are severely limited. I do know it's a constructed 300 point event coming up though.
Grodd is probably the strongest of the ones you pulled. I would play Gorilla Grood as the team's muscle and Jack Hawksmoor as the support piece plus Mob Rule to block attacks and tie-up opponents.
As being said, Etrigan the Demon is a little complicated. But if you feel safe playing him, I'd bring him in with the 100-point version of Gorilla Grodd and Scarlet Spider.
Thanks for the replys everyone, I hope they keep coming in. I like to see how people think and their reasoning, and seeing what kind of stuff I should look out for as a new player.
As for Etrigan the Demon, from what I understand, if I got it right, you want to give him a power action to move him to his stronger stats then if he gets damaged you'd want to back him up and send him back to the original 1st click, then afterwards switch him again, essentially healing him right?
